We are so happy to close the first chapter of our @200xcientomexa with an amazing piece done by our friend @oter1_moreno. And at the same time We want to welcome the next step that will be done by @lameraac , @luchaflan and truly yours @portaveritas in Spain. So Welcome to our 300%MEXA.

Created for the “200% Mexa” exhibition, this piece fuses Mexican lucha libre iconography with the aesthetics of traditional Japanese Ukiyo-e printmaking. Through the symbolism of the wave, I represent the relentless struggle of crossing the Rio Grande. The fighter, adorned with Chicano-style typography tattoos, embodies the resilience and duality of those who inhabit two worlds. A visual metaphor for migration: a perilous journey faced with the strength, honor, and mask of a warrior who never surrenders.

3 art shows, 3 countries, same day🤯. On Saturday June 20th as I was holding a solo show at “The Olde Library” Gallery at the Fort Langley Community Hall, in British Columbia, Canada, it suddenly occurred to me that for just that one day I had art in 3 separate art exhibits in 3 different countries:

There was the show here in Canada🇨🇦, the main gallery event for “200% MEXA” taking place at the East Side Café in Los Angeles, California,USA 🇺🇸, and the exhibit “Blue Demon : The Icon” in Galeria de Blue Demon Jr. in Mexico City, Mexico 🇲🇽. Mind blown.🤯

Half way through 2026, I find myself counting my artistic blessings. When I returned to making art about 6 years ago I could never have imagined the acceptance I would receive, nor the connections I would make and the friendships I would experience in my pursuit of expressing “Struggle” “Mystery” and “Adventure” (and sometimes humour) through art. I have so many more people to thank but as it relates to June 20th , the day the stars aligned, I would like to say a sincere “thank you” 🙏 to the galleries and people that were part of this magic moment:
