Some moments in our career leave us speechless, and this is one of them. After a wonderful Coffee Tasting today, I was surprised and I’m beyond thrilled to share that I have been selected for the 2027 Starbucks Origin Experience in Costa Rica! 🌱✈️☕️
My coffee journey started back in 2011 in Charleston, SC., near retirement age, I knew I wanted to do something that combined two true loves: people & coffee. What began as a fulfilling retirement chapter evolved into an incredible 15+ year journey. After transferring to Naples, FL in 2016, my love for coffee, our partners, and customers has only grown. Being a Coffee Master is about celebrating the craftsmanship and the hard work that goes into every single cup. To be given the opportunity to witness the ‘first 10 feet’ of coffee at Hacienda Alsacia is an absolute dream come true. I am deeply honored and incredibly grateful to my leaders and Starbucks partners for this opportunity. I can’t wait to bring these stories back to my partners and our Naples community! ☕️🩷😊#StarbucksOriginExperience

I don’t often post much personal material here, but Lester @lesteroriel77 deserves recognition❣️I was thinking about our journey and the years we’ve known each other. Watching your life unfold since we first crossed paths back in 2007, when you, Osvaldito @ozziealonso & Yeniel @bermudez_futbol_academy defected from the National Cuban Soccer team and ended up in Charleston, S.C., has been a true privilege. I remembered that thanks to my son, @emilatokmakci , I learned that you were playing @charlestonbattery . I assumed the role of “godmother” to you all … We opened bank accounts, showed you how to write checks; got driver licenses (we had to try this a couple of times😂) & cooked some of your favorite Cuban meals, so you all would feel closer to the families you left behind without knowing if you would ever see them again! All 3 of you have made me proud❣️ What I admire most about you is that no matter how much time passes or how much you achieve and challenges you face, your character never changes. You remain humble, deeply grateful for life, and a genuinely good person to your core. It is rare to see someone hold onto those values so beautifully. Helping you years ago was a small moment, but seeing the wonderful person you are today is a lasting joy❣️Thank you for your steady friendship, kindness, and for simply being who you are. Thank you for always staying in touch and caring❣️ I wish you well! God Bless You🙏🏻🩷🧿

In ancient cultures & religious texts, fig trees often represent peace, prosperity, and fertility. Due to wildlife, my neighborhood does not allow planting any type of fruit trees. Therefore, I have opted to do potted planted fruit trees in my lanai. I have 2 small fig trees, a guava tree and just planted a lemon tree to accompany my basil, mint and tomatoes. For being so little, they both have yield a few figs! All delicious! I encourage y’all to give it a try❣️It is a special experience to enjoy these when you have grown them yourself! 🌱🍃🪴🍅🍋☀️🩷🙌🏻😊
