What a night 🙌🏽
Grateful for my family, friends and everyone who showed up for us.
My mom’s work is now living in the LES Yearbook exhibit our story on the wall. 🖤
On view until Jan 4th pull up and feel the history

Special s/o to @destiny.mata , @lesyearbook , @abronsartscenter , and to all my family and friends who stood beside us through every step.

This isn’t just an exhibit it’s proof that our stories matter.
It’s our elders, our roots, our blocks, and the love that held this community together long before anyone was watching.

This is for the LES for the ones who built these hallways with heart, for the generations who kept showing up even when they weren’t seen, and for every voice that was overlooked but never silenced.

We carry them with us. We honor them out loud.
This is for us.
— @cherylkirwan

I also want to thank @telli_ninjasonik for capturing and documenting this moment preserving it the way our history deserves to be seen 🎥🎬🍿 taken in Lower East Side(L.E.S.) by @212mal

Had a great time shooting for the @heatdocnyc documentary. Directed by @aichaxc 🎥🔥 It’s an honor to be a part of such an amazing project.

This documentary is a must-see, especially if you’re from the Lower East Side. Being able to tell our stories, represent our neighborhood, and be part of something that documents the culture and history of the LES means a lot to me.

Can’t wait for everybody to see this one. LES forever. ❤️🏆

One thing about @nlbmovement , we gon’ PUT IN THAT WORK! 💪🏾🏆 Rain, sleet, snow, before work, after work, even during work! NO EXCUSES! 💯

Bro really pulled up fresh out of work and got BUSY! That’s what it’s all about! This ain’t just working out, THIS IS A LIFESTYLE, NOT A COMPETITION! We ain’t out here trying to be better than the next man. We out here pushing each other to become better versions of ourselves.

Everybody got their own journey, their own pace, and their own battles. But one thing about us, NOBODY GETS LEFT BEHIND! We motivate each other, hold each other accountable, and lead by example.

EACH ONE, TEACH ONE! 🤝🏾

NLB — NO LOOKING BACK! 🏆❤️

Growing up on the Lower East Side, we would get harassed for playing our music too loud or just for being in the park at certain hours. So to come full circle and have our own event in the park, with a sound permit, able to play my music as loud as we wanted, honestly felt like a dream come true.

S/O DJ @_slid_3 for making the moment special. And what made it even better we fed the whole hood. ❤️

This was bigger than music. Bigger than an event. It was about taking back space in the same neighborhood that raised us and creating something positive for our people.

The Lower East Side is more than where we’re from it’s who we are. This is what community looks like when we come together, take care of each other, and create something for the next generation.

For the hood, by the hood. LES forever. ❤️🏆

Special S/O to @lesyearbook and every organization and person involved who helped bring this vision to life. This is what happens when the community comes together for the community. ❤️ by @212mal

RIP my bro 💔🕊️ You were fighting addiction, but your talent could never be denied. I always welcomed you into my sessions, and you always let me use your home studio. My building lost a real one. Rest easy, bro. 🙏🏽 by @212mal
