You know what's more awkward than an awkward silence? Me talking 🫠 and I'm ok with that. I'm eccentric, excessive, and unusual. But I would rather fully be myself, than be some censored version of what a human should be.

So I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me as an artist. Whether you bought something, interacted with my posts, complimented the quality of my work, or even if you just appreciate a good sense of humor-thank you all so very much! 🥰 Without your support, I'm just a weirdo that hangs out in a basement playing with glorified mud 🫠💜

Me: "It takes me like 30 minutes to an hour to make a post sometimes bc I overanalyze it and don't want to say something stupid like 'This mug looks pretty swell 🫀🌸✨'."
My partner: "Just post anything, most people are just looking at the pictures anyway." by @27sistersstudio

I think this one is my favorite tentacle mug from this batch! 😻 And of course it has that cutie little octopus waving hello from the bottom 🐙 by @27sistersstudio

My boss told me that I do a shit job with "marketing" and "social media." 🫠

So don't mind me, just sharing some of the process pics. by @27sistersstudio

I think matching sets are kinda cool 😎 but I'm also a big fan of variety. So if you want to check out my latest creations I'll be setting up at the Eno Arts Mill in Hillsboro, NC with other artists for the clay guild pottery sale this Saturday and Sunday from 11-5! 😸 If you can't make it to see the stuff in person, no worries, I'll be posting things on here too 💜 by @27sistersstudio

Well it's official:
My partner has been ✨Liberated from Employment ✨!! 🎉 That's a positive spin on the term "laid off". 😅 So now I'm the employed one that's going to pay the bills! 💪🏼😇

🫣😅😂 JK I only make like $10,000 a year so I'm not supporting anyone from this income bracket 😜 but I should at least try, so I'm giving larger sculptures a temporary pause and slipping into the functional side of pottery. I made a bunch of things, and I've been playing around with the bottoms of cups, so each one has a fun surprise 😻 by @27sistersstudio

My brain is a musical instrument.

And yes, the studio constantly has bags on the floor 🫣😅🫠 by @27sistersstudio

Two things:

1. I'll be in Franklinton, NC this Saturday for the Funkytown event from 3 pm-8 pm at the @artsinfranklin booth.

2. I've been calling myself the unofficial spokesperson for the Artist Support Grant for years, so this is your annual reminder to get those ideas solidified to submit your application! (If you want to talk in person about the grant, come out to the event Saturday!) The deadline varies by county ranging from August 3-October 15, so check with your local arts council to see when your deadline is! Buy new tools or a larger kiln (I'm looking at you fellow potters 👀), splurge on materials, attend educational workshops, upgrade your website! Don't hold yourself back, you can do this! Get the money while it's there before the govt calls it "wasteful government spending" and cuts our support! 🫣😅🫠 Do I excessively use exclamation points?! Absolutely! It's so you know how fun and exciting I am! 😸😜

And if you're thinking "I won't apply because I know I won't get it." Then to that I say, Don't be silly!! I know of 3 artists where I told them about the grant and they applied and were awarded the funds for their projects! by @27sistersstudio

What a weekend! 😻 I am super stoked to have enjoyed another Oddities Expo with you kooky bunch of humans! Thank you to everyone for your kind words, fun conversations, and supporting me as an artist! 🥰 I also got to see several friends that I hadn't seen in years, and that was just awesome. 💜

The number of things that found a new home is astonishing:
👁️ 7 sculptures
☕ 12 mugs
🥄10 spoon rests
🐙2 tentacle spoons
🪴2 plant pots
📿5 necklaces
🍽️ 21 trays and dishes of various sizes (there are no good emojis for this one🫠)

I couldn't feel more grateful and supported, so from my entire heart, thank you 💜💜💜

Now back to the studio! 😸 by @27sistersstudio

Here is a random sampling of things that are coming with me to Apex PeakFest this Saturday 5/2! 😸 The weather is calling for an 80% chance of rain, but I'm crossing all my fingers and toes and hoping it's holds off until Sunday 😅🫠🤞🤞🤞 by @27sistersstudio
