Highlight Reel:

Wanted to throw a little clip together of just a few of the dudes I’ve had the privilege of working with over the last few years.

There are tons of different moves expressed throughout these swings, but they all in their own way control their back leg, launch from behind and inside, and get their swing off INSTANTLY when it’s time to go.

Success leaves clues 📈

Swing Progression: Roman Quinn (Watch till the end 👀)

Take a dive into the swing adjustments that @rome_quinn made over the last couple years.

Starting in 2021 Roman wanted to really work on improving his actions in the box. We worked through a full rebuild and things really started to improve quickly.

An emphasis on space and honing in to that crazy quick twitch ability led to quick and obvious improvements. Unfortunately injuries made things difficult, but while healthy the numbers improved drastically. With the Rays he hit .263 in 2022, and in 2023 he led the league in HRs in Spring Training before stepping away.

Although it was a bummer to have found things “too late” in a sense, what came from it was an unbelievable experience of putting these principles and processes to the test at the highest level, and now being able to teach players invaluable things both physically and mentally.

God always has a plan, and we both know how much our experiences can help hitters and we’re excited for what’s to come. Follow for more 📈

Swing Progression: (Don’t miss the last 3 swings 👀)

Take a sneak peak into the swing transformation of @ryansutterer9 over the years.

The first few swings are from college. Notice as the video progresses how much better the body control becomes. The slight forward plunge starts to turn into control of the back leg and more depth, direction, and quickness starts to show up.

Probably one of the most important videos to study in the history of hitting.

Barry Bonds demonstrates here — from an incredible camera angle — what it looks like to swing behind and inside the ball. There’s more than one way to express this as a hitter, but this might be one of the clearest views of what it looks like at one of the highest levels in history.

This is what complete control looks like — the ability to adjust to any pitch speed, at any location. One move, all in, at any time. 🔥 by @2911hitting

Low quality video, high quality swing 🎥📈

@griffin_rowan02 putting on a clinic here. Establishes the top of the load, ready to hit at release, then lets the load flow seamlessly right into launch. Efficient, repeatable, and explosive.

Some Joe Mauer-type moves from the 2027 prospect 👀

Real Talk: Identity

This is a message so many people need to hear—especially kids. I know Roman and I would love for as many people as possible to hear it.

Your identity is NOT baseball or the things you do.

Those can be parts of you in many ways, but it’s a fine line between letting something consume your identity and letting it be something you do and strive to be great at.

I want to encourage as many people as possible to chase their potential and strive for greatness—whatever that looks like for each person.

But please, don’t get tricked into believing that a game, or whatever it is, is your identity.

We are so much more than that.

And I hope that as more and more people come to know Jesus, they can truly see what their identity is—so that in turn, we can be freed up to enjoy the pursuit of excellence in the things we do.
