A few things to know about me...

Anything we have in common?

😮 Anything surprise you?

The main thing to know is I love to laugh and have fun, and I'm going to be your biggest cheerleader no matter what (in business and in life).

And my biggest rule if you wanna hang out...BE KIND.

You didn’t start your business to be a full-time marketer. Lucky for you…I did! My passion and purpose is to use my decades of experience to help you learn how to market your business in a way that feels good and works well. Because marketing should be fun, not something you dread.

If you’re looking for someone you can trust, someone who has your back in business (and outside of it), someone to turn to whether you need help or want to celebrate, a bestie for your business, you’re in the right place.

Marketing isn’t easy. If it was, I wouldn’t have a business. I want you to remember that you don’t have to do it on your own. I got you!

And I can't wait to work with you.

Hear me out. What if…

Instead of spending time and energy documenting how hard it is to be a business owner, we spent that time and energy connecting with each other?

What are you craving more of? Content or connection?

Black Friday is four weeks away. If you’ve been ghosting your email list but plan to send a Black Friday offer, now is the time to reengage with them.

There’s nothing worse than showing up in someone’s inbox and either having them not know who you are or pissing them off because they haven’t heard from you for a year.

If you aren’t sure what to say or how to reengage with them, just be honest and acknowledge that it’s been a while.

Then catch them up on what you’ve been up to and get them excited about what’s coming up.

You know…be a human.

Want help figuring out how to best utilize email marketing for your business? Let’s do a pick my brain session and dial in your strategy.

Last month I went on a girls trip and got the full passenger princess treatment. One friend drove. Another booked the B&B and every dinner and wine tasting. All I had to do was show up.

It was glorious. And it’s exactly how your customers want to feel.

The best part about being a passenger princess? Not having to make the decision.

But look at what a lot of us hand our customers instead. Three buttons that all look equally important. Seven packages to pick from. A reply that says “let me know what works for you.” That’s handing them the keys. And when your customer has to do the work, you know what they do? Nothing.

Passenger princess marketing flips that:
→ You make the recommendation.
→ You plan the next step.
→ You answer their questions before they have to ask.

They still get to choose. You just make the right choice the obvious one.

This goes way beyond your website, so I built a roadmap that walks your whole customer journey, from your message to what happens after the yes. Tap “yes” or “not yet” as you go. Every “not yet” comes with a fix and fill-in-the-blank copy, and at the end you get the three moves to make first.

Comment ROADMAP and I’ll send it your way.

Take what works for you. Don’t worry about the rest.

When we heard @monsterjam was coming to Spokane, Aaron and I knew we had to go. We packed a lot into our short trip. Lots of good food, Halloween shopping, scootering, gondola riding, hotel swimming and park hopping.

Love adventures with my boys.

Boo hiss. If you can’t make it 7 minutes without calling women whores, you’re not a good comedian.

This horrible performance was also a great example of the importance of knowing your audience and speaking to them in a way that connects with them and resonates.

Who watched? I was mortified in my living room.

Want my best hack for sticking with content creation?

Figure out what kind of content you actually like creating and do more of that. If you’re having fun it will show and will also make it so you don’t really care about how many views or likes your content gets.

Haven’t figured out what works for you as the person creating content? Keep going and experimenting. And if you need some extra help or ideas, let’s schedule a Pick My Brain session and spend 2 hours together figuring it out.

I promise you can get there. And I promise you are not the problem. You just haven’t found your groove yet and you’re probably comparing yourself to everyone else. by @2lsmarketing_

After 20+ years in marketing, and these four beliefs continue to show up in everything I do. ⤵️

1. Start with your goal and work backwards. There will always be a shiny new tactic or a "you should really be on TikTok." When you know what you're aiming for, the noise gets a lot quieter.

2. Friction is where you lose people. If they have to work to figure out what you do or how to buy it, they won't. You're marketing's job is to make it easy.

3. Foundation before amplification. Don't pour time, effort or money into driving traffic to a website with broken links and a confusing checkout. Fix the foundation before you start inviting people over.

4. Make the effort pay off twice. That blog post you spent three hours on? It's also an email, a few social posts, and maybe a workshop. Work smarter, show up everywhere.

None of this is flashy. It's just what actually works. And has worked for decades.

If I were to sum up my approach to marketing in one sentence, it would be this...

Good marketing will always be good marketing, even if the platforms, formats and trends change.

If you're tired of throwing spaghetti at the wall and want marketing with a real strategy behind it, that's exactly what I do. Let's talk.

Which one of these beliefs hits closest to home for you right now?

$It just didn’t feel right. I have so much respect and admiration for classroom teachers. My mom was a special ed teacher. My aunt was a kindergarten teacher. But in my own way I’m very much a teacher. It’s so funny how we can’t see things right in front of us, but someone else can. And also how we don’t give ourselves enough credit. It happens all the time with clients. When I get fresh eyes on their marketing and business and approach it from a different perspective, it highlights things they never saw. The most common thing I hear in Pick My Brain Sessions is this…”I never thought of it that way!” Of course you haven’t. Why would you? I’ve been eating, sleeping and breathing marketing for over 20 years. It’s okay that you haven’t. That’s what you have me for! So if you want a different perspective and for me to be your teacher, let’s chat. #marketingcoach #marketingforsmallbusiness #fractionalcmo #marketingstrategy by @2lsmarketing_$
