Bhutan was my 137th country when I visited in 2019.

It’s always been very expensive to visit but I found out that until August 31, 2027, the required Sustainable Development Fee is only $100 per day instead of $200.

Anyway, I just arranged it and I’m going back to Bhutan next year on May 15 to 20, 2027 (6 days / 5 nights) with a group of Filipinos.. and maybe with a sidetrip to Nepal before and Bangladesh after. Not sure yet but Bhutan is 100% confirmed.

Time to make new memories! ❤️ If you’re a solo traveler and wanting to visit, join us as I have limited slots for this one time trip for 2027. I’ll handle everything from visa application, magbayad lang kayo. ❤️

Japan's digital nomad visa will never accept a Philippine passport. Not because of income. Because of the rules.

Japan only takes nationals who can already enter without a Japanese tourist visa. We need one, so no amount of savings fixes it. Iceland uses the same gate.

The good news: seven programmes are open to us and can be filed from Metro Manila or fully online. Thailand tests savings instead of salary, which finally works for freelancers. Colombia asks the least, about PHP 104,800 a month.

Japan visa for Filipinos in 2026: still free, but the way you apply has changed.

Since April 2025, travel agencies no longer take regular visa applications. Everything goes through the Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC), with branches in Parañaque, Makati, Quezon City, Cebu and Davao.

Japan raised visa fees for most countries in July 2026. The embassy says the tourist visa for Filipinos stays gratis.

There is an eVISA now, but only if you join a package tour from an embassy-registered agency, and the stay is capped at 15 days.

Refused? The embassy will not say why, and you wait six months to reapply for the same purpose. Swipe for the details.
