40. FORTY!!! Wow, I cannot believe it. I still don’t know if I feel like a full fledged adult yet?! I feel like I’m still figuring out this thing called life everyday. But one thing I’m for sure about is this thing called life is beautiful.

As I celebrated and I looked around at the people that were there to help, the ones that traveled to be there, the hype people, my day ones, the ones that always show up, I couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by the amount of love I experienced.

Thank you for every hug, gift, call, text, dm, etc, etc. One thing I never have to question is if I’m loved. I know that through and through. And I’m so so grateful. Cheers to a new year, a new decade and all the new and exciting things to come! ❤️✨🥰☀️

Birthday weekend photo dump. No deep introspection this year. I wasn’t stressed about 38, but still feeling a way about the number. Getting older is still bit of a mind f*ck at this age for me. Anywho, I was surrounded by so much love, joy and FUN.
I love my people, and they continue to confirm that connection really is one of the most important things in my life. Thank you for every call, text, post, hug, etc etc. Honestly, I felt SO LOVED. And boy, a time was had taken in Outside by @365eurika

2023 seems like it went by in a flash. Seriously. I feel like I scrambled a lot this year. Felt a little scattered. Felt like I haven’t quite found my path, but that’s my need for control 🙃 My need to know the next three steps before I take them. I will say there are some areas that I did feel like I had more focus and discipline. I feel good about that.

I experienced tiny miracles that turned into big blessings, even if I didn’t realize it at the time. Lots of precious moments with the ones I love the most.

I realized that I’m very good at meeting people where they’re at, and loving them the way they need to be loved. Hard realization on the other side is, some don’t always have the means, capacity, or ability to reciprocate. And that’s ok. And, it’s also ok to put me first (in my Cookie voice) 🙇🏾‍♀️

I think the biggest takeaway for this year is I’m growing more into myself everyday. And I really like me. I really love me! And I’m thankful for the ones that give me the space to just be me. The ones that love every side of Erika. The loud, the crazy, the cuddly, the sleepy, the silly, the helpful, the stubborn, the soft and the everything in between, Erika. More love, more growth and more good times in 2024.

I’ll be spending NYE on two different continents, time traveling if you will, which I think is pretty damn cool. Cheers loves 🥂✨ taken in Phuket, Thailand by @365eurika

If you know me, you know I like making things with my hands. I’m pretty crafty/handy if I do say so myself. I used to make handmade gifts all the time. This time I made something for myself. It felt good to make something just to make something. No timeline, no stress, just creating.

Def some things I would do differently if I were to do it again (which I prob won’t 🫣) but overall I’m pretty pleased with the finished product. Thanks @ghcrochets for a great tutorial!!! What should my next project be?!

I had written a long post about vulnerability that then felt too vulnerable for this platform, go figure lol. Just know I have some deep feels, and a soft heart. A soft heart I like to keep protected. But I’m working on taking my walls and blocks down and coming into a soft girl era. Feels risky and risqué 🙃 I’ll keep you posted on progress lol. by @365eurika
