We're delighted to announce the arrival of @39thgateofhell to the Reaction Management roster!

39th Gate of Hell is a multinational, female-fronted art-punk band merging noise-rock dissonance with danceable, post-punk grooves. Splitting its base between Sheffield and Austin, the band is built around Turkish-born spoken word artist Ayşe Balkose and guitarist/singer Ash Gray of Austin, Texas, performing as a trio or quartet with a rotating cast of rhythm section players, 39th Gate of Hell channels the arty dissonance of early Sonic Youth and the raw energy of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, moving easily between whimsical, playful moments and seriously poetic subject matter — all anchored by a heavy, groove-led sound.

Being in a band is fun but takes being in shape, a good work ethic and being musically fit. Pump up with great energy, rock and groove in style but “ Don’t Force It”

We are a band, but don’t put us in a box
Ask Never look back where you came from
The road might surprise you
The dreams you once had might be
The same songs that blocked you
Never carry someone else’s load
You can always say
You travel light
So let the morning be
What it is—
Don’t decide what it must bring!
Still, come and sing with us our songs
What are we?
Only a mirror
