Hey Yall! Here’s our Farm Hill Pottery Appreciation Post! 🏺🪴🧱Robyn Anderson @farmhillpottery has got it going on! Robyn has had her beautiful pottery for sale at 3BFs Honor System Farm Stand & Annual Plant Sale this season ,and we’re so honored to have her stunning work around the farm & in our own home.

But beyond Robyn’s incredible talent; we are so lucky to call the Andersons friends & next door neighbors! Whether we ever need a midnight chicken check, an extra hand on the farm or just a thoughtful conversation we know we can count on them. Our neighborhood is a better place because they’re a part of it! 💕 If you’re heading to Pumpkin Fest in Franklin this weekend, be sure to stop by Robyn’s booth! Check out her beautiful handmade pottery and take a piece home with you! We use Farm Hill Pottery in our home and kitchen every single day and we can’t recommend Robyn’s work enough.

‘Why are 3BF Turkeys so Expensive?’ Hopefully by now local folks know that Team 3BF isn’t into agriculture to make a quick buck. Purchasing (literal tons) of Organic Grain + Infrastructure Costs + Labor to care for and process our birds is no small or cheap endeavor. Raising poultry on pasture is complex. It’s labor intensive, risky & expensive. We feel that this price is fair and reflects the time, care and money we put into growing the best dang poultry possible! I’m not sure about yall: but we are noticing rising prices all around us; food, fuel, energy & honestly just about everything out there is getting pretty dang pricey. Worst thing about this inflation pattern is there seems to be no end in sight. But one thing we LOVE about living in an Agricultural community is this: our grocery bill is not as volatile as the massive systems that run big food in this country.

👀 Look at what $100 can get ya at our Honor System Farmstand! Tons of Greens, Eggs, Soup, Chicken, Beef and a nice selection of some of the freshest produce around. We believe we grow a damn good product at a very fair price.

It’s your chance to venture out to the Shire (Iotla Valley) for a comfy cozy afternoon of creativity, curiosity, and connection. We will be guided by our senses and plump turkeys to fully experience the rolling acreage and operational 3 Barn Farm. We will conclude our slow Sunday gathering with some Shire Soup and Lembas Bread.

On our travels to North Carolina we connected with @3barnfarms 🐓 *Who are also in the @cngfarming network!* It was so fun and inspiring to visit and meet farmers; Alex & Katie! It was fun to visit in July and see them in the MIDDLE of their season. As we are currently on our summer break! Ahhh growing with the seasons! Loved to see their honor system farm stand, farm procedures, poultry & cattle operation, see the deep roots they have in their community & what a positive impact they are making! Our old chef boss (from the former smiling bison 🦬) @the_josh_oakley sources from them for his restaurant; @culture_franklinnc It’s so refreshing to see farmer and community working so seamlessly together. Sourcing local is just a normal way of LIFE there! We were also able to go eat at culture 🤩 We had a completely delicious & locally sourced meal. Lots of nodes to the old smiling bison- which we loved. Our kids loved the sourdough pizza most of all 😂🍕Grateful for the connections we made in WNC! We are already looking forward to returning⛰️ by @3barnfarms

We’re so lucky to have these awesome dudes in Macon County! Working alongside them has been educational, rewarding, and a whole lot of fun-Plus we’ve got a beautiful crop of hoop house tomatoes to show for it! Jeff & Adam are passionate about building the biology that lives right beneath our feet! Weather you’re a home gardener, small farmer, or simply interested in learning more about soil health, they offer some fantastic workshops & educational opportunities. Hey Franklin & Cowee Folks! Here’s our J W Mitchell Farm Appreciation Post! 🍑🍅🍷We LOVE John, Dorothy & their awesome farming family! JW’s Farm Stand has been operating for decades and they’ve got so much to offer over there: Fresh Peaches, Sweet Corn, Tomatoes & Fruit Wine. We may be biased but JWs place is our favorite bar in town!! The team makes delicious, fermented wines from local and regional fruits right on the farm.
