🪡🪡🪡 This belongs to: came to life this summer semester under the topic of Il/legibility.

The idea stems from the find of a family heirloom: a 100-year-old embroidery kit used to manually mark domestic textiles with monogrammed initials, claiming ownership through interwoven letterforms that serve as subtle but permanent signs of possession. A random set of monograms was processed by a digital embroidery simulation software, generating needle paths, providing machine-readable instructions for contemporary embroidery technology.

Il/legibility is a Klasse Thomas project featuring a total of 16 works and was exhibited at this years Rundgang.

💔💔💔 ich vermisse dich 💔💔💔 was born this summer semester and is the architecture master thesis of the one and only @janschreiber_.

To raise awareness for the emotional values buildings and Third Places of a city hold and how the demolition and destruction of these socially crucial Third Places is bad for the planet, the heart and subculture, a temporary urban intervention was placed in the heart of Stuttgart, to start a conversation about the problematic current state of urban planning and building culture, not just here but anywhere.

This project especially targets people that aren‘t particularly interested in architectural topics and aren‘t aware of how frustrating the system behind demolition and rebuilding is. A collective sense of awareness for this topic could influence how our city will look like in the future. To ensure this book isn‘t only interesting to one particular bubble, the cover stays open to interpretation, placing the book somewhere between a tragic love story and a theoretical piece of sociological and architectural research.

The the three part thesis features an intervention at the construction site that once was home to Fritty Bar, thorough research on the topic of demolition and the documentation of the day of the intervention captured in a publication, and a website, making key information on the topic accessible in digital form.

Last semester we had the honor to design the latest publication for @abk_inkubator
“Unfold – Kartografen des Ästhetischen“ showcases the UV-maps of 32 3D scanned objects, that were developed in the seminar “Grundlagen der Gestaltung und experimentelles Entwerfen“.
This publication is a playful attempt to experience three-dimensional objects through a two-dimensional medium, focusing on surface and texture only.
