A year ago today, my friend John and I were on a road trip to Death Valley. We made a point of visiting Badwater Basin—the lowest point in the continental United States—on the date Donald Trump’s second inauguration—one of the lowest points in American history.
Since that day, the United States has been on a steady decline because our Bumbler-In-Chief, when faced with a decision, never fails to choose the most damaging, malicious, and/or boneheaded option. His cabinet is a clown car of miscreants, and his eroding cognition makes him at once easily manipulated and manifestly dangerous.
He and his enablers are a threat to democracy. Whether by impeachment or the 25th Amendment, for the sake of the country that I love, Donald Trump has got to go.
