Honoured to premiere the first ever song to be played on National Radio that was written and recorded inside a youth justice centre in Australia, at Cobham Youth Justice Centre.

The song is a Love song. It doesn’t promote violence or crime. It’s an incredible example of youth in detention using their creativity to express themselves in a positive way.

I’m proud of the lads and what they’ve achieved. I hope something like this can inspire young people to see that they are seen, heard and that there are many options, opportunities and paths to take in life.

I wanna thank my @geedupco family @audiotechnicaau @tak_hatanaka @zoku_creative @ev.o.l @sebastianmadeit @agirlartist @lachiebalboa @triple_j @chasmbeats @mcpsmurf @hadynwings for being a part of such a huge milestone.

We were invited to Cobham Youth Justice Centre by the team at Zoku Creative & @4thwallproject for a closer look at a project they had been working on..

Over 4, 1.5 hour sessions the team worked with a group of boys to produce, record & film a song and music video to bring all parts of the creative world into a workshop environment to show the fellas that anything is really possible with a little bit of direction - tonight they got the approval to release the visuals into the world to so we had to come through with the premiere as promised!

HUGE shoutout to Wings from @takeflightau for coming down to Cobham Youth Justice Centre for the 4WP x @zoku_creative Music Program Graduation.

We got to showcase the final video clip as well as a documentary of the making of an incredible song professionally recorded, mix/mastered and shot by 3 of the boys at Cobham.

It was super inspiring for everyone to hear @hadynwings speak about his journey, his opinion of the song /music video - as well as give some genuine words of encouragement to these boys.

All in all it was a great day. Thank you to everyone involved 🙏🏾🩵

The young men at Cobham Youth Justice Centre created their own music video with ZOKU Creative x @4thwallproject

But the film was only the beginning.

At graduation, they shared what the experience meant to them.

Their voices. Their story. Their work.

Our workshops aren’t just fun, they build confidence, communication skills and real opportunities to career pathways. That’s real IMPACT 🗣️

Tune into the @triple_j hip-hop show tonight from 8pm with @agirlartist for a World Premiere of a song written and recorded at Cobham Youth Justice Centre.

This will be the first song ever played on national radio from youth in detention. The song is incredibly positive and I’m proud of the boys.

Spent some time with Turquoise Prince who’s using music to make a real impact. Through the 4th Wall Project, he works with young people in juvenile detention, giving them the opportunity to write, record, and produce their own music—turning creativity into a positive outlet and helping them find their voice. Stories like these deserve to be shared. 🎤

What a week it’s been.
After weeks of hard work, collaboration and creativity, we’re just one week away from the official screening of @zoku_creative and @4thwallproject by @turquoiseprince inside @nswdcj Cobham Youth Justice Centre

Seeing the boys pour themselves into this project and watching their confidence grow throughout the process has been incredible.
Next week, they’ll get to experience the finished product, a professionally mixed and mastered song accompanied by their very own music video alongside their units and support networks.

These screenings are always special. The atmosphere is filled with positivity, pride and excitement as the boys see what they’re capable of when given the opportunity to create, express themselves and work together.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. We can’t wait to celebrate their achievements with them.
