⭐️⭐️ AS SEEN IN @tastetoronto ⭐️⭐️ Happy Lunar New Year! Chúc Mừng Năm Mới! 恭喜发财! When I made my Chinese/Lunar New Year treat box, I did *not* anticipate to be as busy as this week has been. I am so glad people are giving my Westernized Asian fusion treats a try 🤗 My week has consisted of baking at night, deliveries during the day, grocery trips, and napping in between bakes in the oven. I’ve been fed by my generous friends in the form of late night eats (hey Sophia!), my spinning bike has turned into a coat rack and I’ve gone through over 20kg of flour and 15 pounds of butter. Forget makeup, flour has become my new setting powder...all over my face and on my clothes and apron 😩 I always liked Lunar New Year because it gave you another “new year, new you” start - in case you already failed at your New Year’s resolutions a month-in. Now you have another chance! 😬 As you know, I do everything alone from shopping to prepping to baking and hand-deliver each order (I’m a control freak), but this year, I’m slowly accepting that I need help. I am so grateful for every one of you who has supported me along this journey: if you’ve liked my posts, entered my contests, made an order, helped me with deliveries, been a taste tester, given me suggestions, or even if you just follow my account and creep in the background 👀 I see you all and I’m happy you’re still here! My highlight of the week was my first media mention from @tastetoronto about the best Lunar New Year treats and eats. Being alongside national brands, restaurants and professional chefs is an honour and honestly, as a publicist, it’s so cool to have your passion project even mentioned. It just hits differently.
