SMILE AGAIN by 79.5 ☺︎

Surprise! A new single. She’s a protest song.

☺︎

Come here now baby, won’t you smile again-
So the world can’t hear your problems?
Lick up the pieces, everybody’s the man.
Won’t you smile again?
Smile again.

Give the man a tower that he burns ‘til the end
Cause the money is his father.
The money is his father, baby, you understand.
Won’t you smile again?
Smile again.

Ya can’t
No ya can’t
No ya can’t
No ya can’t
No ya can’t
No ya can’t control the people!
We will fight with our hands
‘Cause the money ain’t our father!
When the world can’t turn a profit
You will burn ‘til the end
Won’t you smile again?
Smile again?
Smile again.

New music incoming 🚨
On The Way Up with @79point5 lands this Friday, August 21 on @glitterboxibiza

Made between New York & London, I enlisted the help of the brilliant NYC residing @79point5 for this single.

This record truly captures the heart of what I do, bringing talented people together to create and express themselves and execute the picture in my head whilst inspiring me in the moment to push things further. It’s what makes me tick, the amazing positive feeling it gives me recording it and ultimately sharing that vibe with you.

All finished off back home by me and my team @earthworksstudios and here we are ready for the next chapter. And it starts now!

Road tested where it matters most: with you on the dancefloor.

Been waiting to share this one with you. Pre-save now, link in bio. by @79point5

❤︎ NEW S̶I̶N̶G̶L̶E̶ ANTHEM DROP! ❤︎

❤︎ B.D.F.Q. “B*tch, Don’t F*cking Quit” is a personal call-to-arms: a reflection of the past struggles when it came to creating and releasing music in an environment fueled by misogyny and neglect. Fearless, confident and unbothered, the industrial-infused anthem holds a stew of ingredients from 90’s hip-hop to classical piano, delivering delightfully with buttery harmonies and mellow grooves. With Kate Mattison’s mounting chromatic scales and Lola Adanna’s deft rap style (which even nod’s NYC’s Verrazano Bridge), there’s a cacophony of dazzling musical elements to B.D.F.Q., and 79.5 freshly delivers it all with one simple message: Never give up on yourself.
