Revisiting #1250 as there isn’t a PTS example I receive messages about more. This was the only Carrera GT finished in Horizon Blue Metallic and features an LTS Sand Beige Leather interior. Supplied new to Doha, Qatar in 2006 making it one of the final CGT’s delivered this example resided there for a year before making its way over to France in 2007 where it was more regularly spotted in Paris and Saint-Tropez. As you can see from the first, second and final images this car was unfortunately destroyed in an accident in Marbella in August 2008 where it was rolled several times before coming to rest on its side in a ditch. After the accident the car was never repaired and subsequently scrapped. Its chassis and plaque number were never reissued. If someone is looking at recommissioning/restoring their CGT it would be quite cool to see this specification make a return.

#0408 is one of just three UK CGT’s delivered in Fayence Yellow and without a doubt the least spotted of those three. I didn’t expect to spot this example lurking out the back of the paddock at the @mastershistoricracing event at Brands Hatch yesterday. Having been supplied to the UK new in 2005 it has spent the maturity of its life seldom unseen. Currently it has just under 10,000 miles on the odometer and resides in Jersey where it is still owned by its original keeper (0 previous owners car). The car was on its way back to Jersey from @rpmtechnik having had KW V5 coilovers fitted by them. In today’s market with that mileage and one of the most desirable ‘standard’ colour combinations, what would you expect this example to sell for?

The next stop on our Carrera GT Paint To Sample tour is this car: 0936 owned by @dkengineering. An example finished in Midnight Blue Metallic over Ascot Brown leather.

Built in 2005 and being only 1 of 3 examples finished in this exterior colour from factory (the only one of the three with this exterior & interior combination), this PTS example is a UK Supplied (C16) car originally being sold to its first owner by OPC Greater London. The first keeper would go on to own the car for 11 years racking up some 9000 miles over that time period and having it meticulously maintained by @porschecentrereading as well.

The car was then sold by @porschecentreleeds in 2014 to its second owner in France who owned the car for two years before selling it via @cobalt_automobiles & @lartdelautomobile to @automobili_amos in Italy. Eugenio owned the car until 2020 adding approximately 1500 miles to the odometer during his ownership. The car then made its return to the UK after being bought by @dkengineering . However it’s stay in the UK would be short lived as DK would then sell the car to Belgium car collector @baert_filip who would retain the car for approximately a year before reselling it to DK. The car currently sits within the @dkengineering private collection with approximately 13,400 miles on the clock where the likely hood of it being sold in the near future is very slim.

This example also sports all of the luggage and accessories that were available to a CGT customer when new. Something that in this day and age is incredibly rare to see. From door bags, to the Swarovski crystal model to the uber cool carbotech racing cap this example has it all (see final images). Next up on our tour of paint to sample CGT’s we have this: 0937. Currently located in Taiwan, plaque number 0937 is a 2005 build year car and is 1 of 3 finished in Zanzibar Red Metallic (2 US Spec Cars and 1 EU Spec). This example is one of the two US spec cars originally in this exterior colour. However it is the only example of the three to feature leather to sample with the interior being upholstered in LTS Natural Brown leather meaning at the time of delivery this was the highest MSRP CGT built. It is believed the car was supplied new to a gentleman in Chicago who owned the car for circa 4 years before being sold to a collector in Taiwan in 2009 where the car has resided since. For a large period of time the car was wrapped in pearl white with ‘acid green’ accents (see photos 10 & 11 by @vicchou1005 ). The only other modification carried out to this car is the KW V5 Clubsport coilovers it has fitted. The car currently has just over 70,000 miles on the odometer so is a well used example and likely one of/ if not the highest PTS example in existence. The final images showcase the car in 05/06 around the time it was delivered to the first owner. Shoutout to @tim.autos for the fantastic photos.

The next paint to sample CGT I would like to draw your attention to is this: #0612, a 2005 build, US specification car finished in Fashion Grey (a colour that was first used on the Porsche 356, was previously referred to as: ‘Man Of Chile Grey’) over an Ascot Brown interior. This example was the only one finished in this colour from factory and is often mistaken for another US spec car that was repainted in the same colour circa 2005. The car’s original MSRP was $458,980 and it has spent its whole life in the US and was regular used both on road and track by its first owner in Texas. He retained the car for approximately 10-15 years before it made its way to Colorado to be a part of one of the world’s greatest Porsche Collections where the car is now in the company of a 996 GT1 Straßenversion, 918 Weissach (PTS), 911R (PTS), 997 RS 4.0 (PTS) and many more.

Who doesn’t love photos taken in period.

Here we have 0911 another PTS example, this time finished in the forever timeless and popular Signal Yellow. This particular also feature the dark grey leather interior. The photos you see above were taken in 2005 post the car being delivered by Paul Miller Porsche in New Jersey. The car was used and retained by its current owner until being sold via McLaren in Philadelphia in mid 2019 for around $950,000 with 7114 miles on the clock. The car was then retained by this owner until 2022 where it was then marketed and sold by @grahamrahalperformance with an asking price of $2.7m, the mileage then was very similar to what it was when the car was sold in 2019. Now the car is situated in Kendall, Florida where to my knowledge it is seeing minimal use.

The date is 31/10/2005 and you venture into Stoddard Imports (now: @porschecentrewilloughby ) in Willoughby, Ohio to ogle over Carrera GT #1021. Finished in PTS Arancio Borealis (Lamborghini colour) over dark grey leather this example is the only one ever finished in this colour.

This example remained with its original owner until 2019 where it was sold by @rmsothebys for $1.193m (the first CGT to exceed the $1m mark) having covered just 265 miles from new. The first owner had previously advertised the car on two occasions prior to its eventual sale in 2016/17 where it’s rumoured he turned down an offer of $2m whilst the car was privately advertised for an asking price of $2.5m.

In the final image (not the clearest) you can see the original window sticker for the car where the on the road price was $485,200 including options and taxes, $36,960 of that was exclusive options (Paint: $36,960 and Black painted calipers: $8,460). The car still resides in the US to this date specifically in Upland, California where to my knowledge it still has circa 300 miles from new.

Should this example come up for sale in the near future will it be the most expensive CGT ever sold?

Happy New Year everyone! (A tad late I apologise)

Here we have #1233 which has recently changed hands and is now in the custodian of @ccol10 .

This example is presented in Paint to Sample Midnight Blue metallic (1 of 4 that we now know of to exist in this exterior colour) over Leather to Sample Seablue leather with blue stitching. The car is a late 2006 build car which was first registered in Chile in early 2007. The car resided within South America until 2015 when it was offered for sale via Auto Salon Singen. In that time between 2015-2024 it bounced between Germany and Switzerland, very rarely being seen or photographed. With the help of @gabenakash ,@johntemerian and @kidstonmotorcars the car has now found a new home back on the other side of the pond where it will be enjoyed and used again by its new owner.

About as perfect as they come.

Carrera GT #1225 is the latest addition to the registry. A UK supplied example that has resided with its original owner since it’s purchase from Porsche Centre Cardiff in 2006. This particular example is finished in GT Silver metallic and is absolutely flawless in its finish and presentation, this is accompanied by the classic interior combination of Ascot Brown and Black leather. It is the second to last CGT to be built for the UK market and has covered a mere 3200 miles from new. This stunning Carrera GT will be coming up for sale with Dick Lovett Specialist Cars in the coming weeks for £1,600,000

How does one make a Carrera GT better than it already is?

You give it to one of the greatest designs houses in automotive history of course.

For those of you who don’t know, what you see photographed is a Carrera GTZ, the Z in this case meaning Zagato. On this page I’ve only previously featured two GTZ’s, the original GT Silver prototype which was conceived in 2013 and the 2nd of the 5 GTZ’s to be built (the Seal Grey car). If you wish to know more about how the GTZ came about check out the link in the bio.

The car photographed here is GTZ 4/5 and is finished in Jet Green Metallic sporting a green leather interior. It also features black brakes callipers (instead of the usual yellow) and anthracite coloured wheels.

The car is plaque number 0707 and was originally a US supplied car that was finished in GT Silver metallic over dark grey leather. It resided in the US until 2012 where it was acquired by its first UK owner who had the car converted to full EU specification and later on a colour change by Porsche GB to Slate Grey in 2018. The vehicle was then purchased by its current custodian in 2018 who took it to Zagato to undergo the GTZ treatment.

This GTZ is currently available to bid on via @carhunaplatform and is being represented by @dkengineering . This is an unrepeatable opportunity to acquire one of the finest looking Carrera GT’s on the planet. Once this vehicle finds its new home, it’s unlikely it’ll be sold again for many years to come. This is CGT number 0112 is finished in the ever popular GT Silver Metallic over Dark Grey Leather interior. This example was originally supplied new to Spain where it remained for approximately five years. It was then sold to a gentleman based in Portugal where the car still resides to this day. This example features BBS RE forged centre lock wheels which offer a small weight saving over the standard Carrera GT wheels.

The car’s most recent owner is Chris Wilson (@messingaroundincars) and the car is currently available for sale through @tomhartleyjunior
