My favourite line from this song is: “The point be say na person wey sabi fix am na me I go call o, because na him sabi the thing well well o. I no go carry matter of heart go give a human o.”

The matters of my heart are as sensitive as my life itself. Not everyone is qualified to handle them. Not everyone has the wisdom, patience, or love required to carry what’s so fragile. Only the One who truly knows my heart can be trusted with it.

One of my favourite Bible verses is Psalm 116:2: “I love the Lord because He stoops down to hear me.” For a long time, I thought of God as distant—powerful, yes, but untouchable. A God who speaks, commands, and expects obedience, but doesn’t invite questions.

Yet the God I have come to know is deeply relational. He listens. He reasons. He welcomes my questions, even when they are messy, emotional, or unclear. His wisdom far outweighs mine, yet He still chooses to meet me where I am.

What I love most is knowing that I can come to God with the raw matters of my heart—my fears, confusions, and longings—and not feel the need to filter or hide them. Nothing is too small, too foolish, or too vulnerable to bring before Him in prayer.

We are invited into real, living, meaningful conversations with God. And that privilege—to commune and converse with Him—will never stop amazing me. 🤍
