HAYLZ (she/her) is a genre fluid DJ, event curator femme force who has established herself on multiple stages and in multiple scenes across Naarm. Whether it be supporting international artists, or playing at your local favourite event, she is known for her high energy sets, seamless blending of genres as well as her ability to read any dancefloor. Haylz is committed to creating spaces where safety, consent and freedom are all non-negotiables whether it be behind the decks or behind the scenes.

This amazing woman is Haylz. She organises the Siren Sounds festivals in Melbourne.
This year the event was held at The Penny Black (@pennyblackbrunswick).
Haylz chose to raise funds for The RED HEART Movement and Australian Femicide Watch.
It was an amazing evening of raw, honest, vibrant and loud music performed by some very talented female, queer and gender non-binary musicians.
This femme-led alternative mini-festival featured a lineup of pop-punk, metal, and rock artists - Identity Error (@identityerror613), Detestor (detestor_au), Sage (sage__screams), Terra Rouge (@terrarougemusic), Grass Stains (@grassstainsband) and Violet Tendencies (@violettendenciesband).
La Casa Tattoo and Piercing (@nakdlines_ and @cheeky_stabs), @Lolliwraps, @offworldaesthetic and @handmadeby_anja had stalls at the event and provided prizes for the raffle.
Haylz raised $1200 for my work ending violence against women and children - and I got the ultimate souvenir - two new tatts!
My work relies on crowd-fundng and merch sales. Every cent raised funds support for families impacted by homicide, Stacey's Sanctuary (a home for women leaving violence), vigils & rallies, the She Matters Murals, the femicide and child death counts, the Memorial to Women and Children Lost to Violence and a whole lot more.
I am beyond grateful to everyone who took part in the event and for the dedication and commitment of Haylz. She is defs a queen and warrior.

Next Friday we return to Bass Lounge (I’m still recovering from our last throwdown a couple of weeks ago y’all were FERAL tbh xx) It’s no secret Emo and Dubstep hold a very special place in my heart so this will be a big one. Next Friday night we return to Bass Lounge for @lynyofficial with a stacked locals lineup you know and love and for the first time, myself and the number ONE Hot Hands of Naarm @clickbaitdj will be going B2B for what will be a MASSIVE set *stares at my butter / notorious cue hitter fingers in PANIC*
