Grateful : Career Growth

God started moving subtly around me when I shifted my energy towards what's in my control. When I started just being happy for what I do have, I couldn't see Him, but I felt a shift. Five years ago, I started slipping into a pretty bad depressive state. My ambition to "want it all" was driving me into a mental place I had never experienced. The more I focused on what I didn't have, it seemed like what I did have started slipping away. My joy, my happiness, my peace. I wanted that title so bad - Director - but for all of the wrong reasons. I felt like the title was "confirmation" . Like it would prove "them" wrong. How quick we forget our "why"?

While I felt like I was losin "it", God was trying teach me "it":

-patience
-gratefulness
-focus on what's in my control
-I AM ENOUGH

God said " Let me Cook!"

Let em' cook 🗣️🗣️: Starting Monday, the title changes to Director of Sales Engineering - SLED East. The responsibility expands and the impact stretches. Title changes, coverage changes....Vinaya doesn't. To anyone reading this who doesn't feel like they "belong" in certain places, like you aren't enough..try God out🙌🏾

Thrivin and Vibin... Part I

For my 40th, all I wanted to do was be with my folks! I wanted to turn up! I wanted the long embraces! I wanted to shower them with love and affection! I wanted to celebrate them and say thank you!

Unconditional love is so important to me! Loving people beyond their flaws, their mistakes, their egos, their pride, their past, their hurt, their fears. That's what I wanted to share with them!

...those jokers COMPLETELY flipped that shiii and told me to f-off with that "humble-ish"! They wouldn't let a min go by w/o celebrating me, showering me with unconditional love in return! So much love was in the atmosphere ❤️❤️. It was overwhelming and I couldn't help but shed so many tears as my heart was BEYOND full!

To know me is to know I'm a continued "work in progress". A Real Life Authentic Black AF Mona Lisa. I have all the flaws in the world and I rock them all day everyday. I have learned to EMBRACE realism and authenticity ...and what I am learning is some of us do have a hard time accepting love but have zero problems in giving it. Saturday night -- it felt good to just bask in the love, accept the love, and bottle it up for safe keeping to tap into when I'm at my lowest! I ❤️ yall!

Cozy in my skin...

Not something I can say I consistently feel..but God knows I'm not where I once was! "I believe I belong" "I believe I'm worth it" I'm constantly reminded that my faith needs to be louder than my fears ...and then let go!

Grateful for the invite from my SVP to attend the @clooneyfoundationforjustice #TheAlbies , celebrating defenders of justice and human rights from around the world. It was a blessing to sit with executives, meet some pretty cool celebs, and partake in such a prestigious event!

It took me a minute to realize the Author writing this chapter of my life has [me] as the main character. 🫠

I've been so focused on everybody else’s story that I made them the main characters in a chapter God gave [me] to live. Wonderin' why this season feels like it was draggin 😂

How often do we get so caught up showin up for everybody else that we forget ourselves? Do we even know how to find joy and peace when nobody around us has the capacity to give it?

Maybe the lesson isn’t to stop loving people deeply… maybe it’s to stop leaving [ourselves] out of that love.

My day off was good to me. The 😁 is genuine. I made me laugh, enjoyed my own space, and I didn’t need anyone else to fill it.

We can’t keep handing everyone else the pen in a chapter He gave [us] to live. As seasons change, so can we. Blessings✌🏾 by @____humble

Like honestly I don't which is tougher to grasp:

-God actually has parts of this world that look like this

-The fact that I'm incredibly blessed to see it in this lifetime

-The fact that I get to experience this world with some dope individuals!

All of the above seems to be the only logical answer and the very reason why I still find it incredibly difficult to describe the trip.

Maldives is such a dreamy spot and we barely scratched the surface 😎 @nxlevel - again my g you are blessed! Thank you for crafting experiences like this for [us]🙌🏾

"What's one thing you're proud of that many in your circle may not be aware of that you want to share? What's that "thing" or "things" you want us to keep in prayer?" - @kynic

Yesterday my cup was filled. #FTTE was able to break bread and fellowship. We laughed, joked, cried, and did it all over again for a few hours 😩. You never know what you may really need until you're in that very moment where the need is being supplied.

When Kyla asked the question above...the energy shifted. We got real with one another, we spoke life into one another, we cried with one another, we apologized to one another. We saw eachother for who we are and not for the multiple hats and titles that each carry. We saw eachother as imperfect human beings just trying to be better, do better, and live better. With all the titles each wear, we sometimes forget the main title: Being a child of the Most High! We forget sometimes that we are DOPE AF, CAPABLE, STRONG, and have all we need to tackle the seasons we are in💪🏾

Chapter 41 has started off on the right foot. Surrounded by love, warmth, laughter, tears, and reflection. I'm thankful 🫶🏾❤️ by @____humble
