We are honored to announce @borobred as our next AUC26 speaker — a leader whose belief in this community is the reason the Athletes Unite Conference is being held in North Carolina.

Dexter immediately understood how transformative AUC could be for his community. He knew that bringing this experience home would open doors for local athletes, students, and emerging leaders in ways that truly matter.

Dexter has been part of the AUC family since AUC23, showing up year after year to speak, mentor, and pour into attendees with honesty, intention, and a genuine commitment to their growth. He doesn’t just talk about opportunity — he creates it.

As a Leader in Global Talent Strategy & Pipeline at @cisco Dexter has a remarkable ability to identify top talent and invest deeply in their development. Several former AUC attendees and former athletes are now thriving at Cisco because he not only recognized their potential — he championed it, guided it, and opened doors that changed their lives.

Dexter’s journey — from earning his degree at @uncchapelhill to becoming a respected voice in talent development, leadership, and inclusive hiring — reflects a career built on purpose, people, and possibility. His impact extends far beyond the workplace; it lives in the careers he’s helped launch and the confidence he’s helped build.

At AUC26, Dexter returns to the stage to continue the work he’s been doing for years: empowering athletes to see beyond the moment, step into their potential, and build careers that last.

North Carolina, this one is for you.

And Dexter — thank you for believing in this vision from the very beginning.

Did you know that Cisco’s Talent Acquisition team will be at the 2026 Athletes Unite Conference actively looking to build a pipeline of athletes interested in careers at one of the world’s leading tech companies?

And that’s just the start.

@cisco is showing up deep this year — with around 40 employees from across the business in attendance. They’ll be here to network, share their career journeys, and give real, actionable advice on how to break into the tech industry and stand out in the hiring process.

On top of that, we have five AUC26 sessions featuring Cisco employees, including:
- More Than a Game: Your Path to College and Beyond
- Tech, Talent & AI: The Future of Career Development
- Drafting a New Playbook: The Coach’s Role in Early Career Wins After Athletics
- The Clean Mind: Rewriting Fear and Redefining Who You Are Beyond the Game
- From Competition to Innovation: Athletes Building Careers in Tech

We’re in the middle of a major shift in the tech era — with AI reshaping every industry. If you want insight on how to navigate this moment, build your career, and position yourself for the future, AUC26 is exactly where you need to be.

We’re proud to welcome @____humble back to the Athletes Unite Conference. Vinaya has been a powerful partner in our work for years — from speaking at the 2024 Athletes Unite Conference at the @profootballhof, to joining our Champions for Change event at the @google office in New York City, to representing Cisco leadership in Atlanta when we hosted @univofalabama athletes at the @cisco ATL office. Her commitment to developing leaders and elevating athlete talent continues to make a lasting impact.

With more than 18 years of experience building, leading, and developing high‑performing pre‑sales engineering teams for some of the world’s largest financial institutions, Vinaya brings a seasoned senior‑leader perspective to the athlete‑to‑career transition.

At AUC26, she will co‑lead the session: Drafting a New Playbook: The Coach’s Role in Early Career Wins After Athletics

Vinaya will share how intentional coaching transforms the athlete mindset into confidence, resilience, and early career success. Alongside Austin, she will unpack real stories, practical tools, and the critical role coaching plays in turning athletic discipline into workplace impact during the first five years after college or professional sports.

Join us to learn how a coach’s guidance can spark breakthrough success beyond the field. #athletesunite

Networking isn’t just about showing up—it’s about showing up prepared.

Your 30-second elevator pitch is the key to making a strong first impression. In a room full of new faces, clarity and confidence set you apart.

Think of it as your highlight reel:

• Who you are
• What you do
• Why it matters

When you can deliver that in under a minute, you invite curiosity, open doors, and make yourself memorable.

Next time you walk into a networking event, don’t just exchange names—share your story with intention. That short pitch could be the start of your next big opportunity.

In 2023, Austin showed up to AUC with a dream — hoping to land a role at one of our partner companies, Cisco. Today, he’s thriving in tech and returning to the AUC stage for the second time, this time to inspire the next generation of athletes chasing purpose beyond the game.

From moderating at AUC24 at the iconic @profootballhof to being a special guest at AUC25 at the University of Colorado @cubuffs , Austin’s journey is proof: AUC isn’t just an event — it’s a movement.

We empower athletes to lead, evolve, and succeed beyond sport.
