I was really excited to bring this creative concept to life. It’s inspired by Valentine’s Day and the beauty of intimacy. I’m a lover girl, so this shoot felt extra special 🥹

To me, intimacy is a feeling that transcends people, culture, gender, and language. It can be romantic or platonic. It’s about feeling loved, safe, vulnerable, and genuinely cared for.

I wanted to express that visually in an artistic way — focusing on two women and the quiet closeness that captures what intimacy can look and feel like.

This was also my first time doing a call for submissions and asking people to be part of one of my creative concepts. I’m really loving the response and thinking about making this a monthly thing. What y’all think? by @___kamera

Last year I created a photo series called “What Does It Feel Like To See Yourself In A Portrait?”. I took candid photos of four people, and their genuine reactions to seeing themselves in the final edits became their narrative.

I met Haze at Everyday People back in July, and honestly, me continuing the series and him being apart of it just felt right. He gave intentional and purposeful energy, and his photos captured his new era as an artist and as a human.

It’s honestly a grounding experience.

We constantly see ourselves in motion—through mirrors, phone screens, daily routines, and everyday life—but a portrait holds you accountable to a single moment.

Seeing myself captured like that makes me appreciate the growth & the hard work that isn’t always visible.
Each chapter / era of my life can be told through artwork, which is why art pieces are so important.

This is another pivotal piece that I am so grateful to be seeing in real time.

Yesterday, I attended my first photo walk hosted by @flxashstudios.

The walk was inspired by the theme “color,” where we all had to pick a color and explore the West Loop, shooting the color we chose. I wanted to be bold and chose red. Funny enough, I thought I would barely find any red objects in the area, but to my surprise, pops of red showed up in the most unexpected places. There’s beauty in everything.

Such a fun event filled with good vibes, inspiration, and authentic connections. Even more excited to be a part of a Community team that was 100% on board to support this event — big ups to @creativeclub_us!

lost in thought.

Sometimes I look at photo shoots I’ve done in the past. It’s cool to see the evolution of your work over the years. This is a self-portrait I took in 2022 in my apartment bathroom, camera on a tripod, with a sunset lamp. I wanted to artistically show what it felt like being an over thinker at that time, drowning in my thoughts. Now, I cherish being present.
