DIP DIARIES #1 the setting: laid back wine bar in a semi-residential part of the city, an eclectic interior where you’ll find highly niche football memorabilia, a banging old school hip hop playlist and a bathroom with a secret light show that may trick you into believing it’s the gateway to secret club door (it’s not). the dip: stracciatella with baked grape, sage and lots of olive oil. simple, light and fresh. you honestly could sit and dip this for hours. a double portion of bread to sweep it up of course. the menu: 6 course tasting menu (pesci) for £30pp. highlights asides from the dip (ofc) were the tuna, green salsa and pickled chilli, these dressed sardines that came in a cute tin and some highly moreish chilli oil, and poached nectarine with ice cream. the lore: we had actually tried to eat here the night before as we’d both heard great things. but a delayed flight & worlds longest plane > passport control walk meant that we arrived just as the kitchen closed. It’s okay though. we had a healthy serving of wine instead and booked for lunch the next day which, for the 6 course menu, worked out sooo much better. the rating: 8/10 - a high recco for something fresh and delicious in Copenhagen 📍Omar, Copenhagen R x by @__luckydip
our summer lunch MVP: the tomato 🍅 with arguably the most versatile veg in existence, we decided to keep it simple and recreate @levaduradeolla‘s world famous tomato salad, inspired by rav’s time in oaxaca. on a hot summer’s day, this dish is as refreshing to eat as it is beautiful to serve. and with tomato season stretching later and later into the year (for reasons we can’t entirely celebrate) we had to give it one more moment in the spotlight. what’s your favourite way to consume a tomato? 📸 @isabellaxwatson by @__luckydip
we had so much fun cooking for the beautiful bride (& our dear friend!) at her hen this weekend, who just happens to love crisps & dips as much as we do our bride inspired menu took us from Spain to India to Kenya and ended with a slice of New Jersey 🥭 by @__luckydip
PEOPLE OF LUCKY DIP ♥️ grateful for all these beautiful people who spent (a very hot) day with us pics by @isabellaxwatson by @__luckydip
hiya ♥️ & welcome! we created lucky dip to reflect our passion for dips as the main character, bringing people together at the start of a meal, and to honour the tradition of bringing crisps n dips to every damn dinner party in your 20s. we think dips are lit as well as hosting community supper / lunch clubs where we hero our favourite dips, we’ll be using this page to share our honest thoughts and feels on dips we’ve tried out in the world, and we’re excited that you’re on this journey with us Katie & Rav x by @__luckydip
