Anyone that knows me, knows I’m headstrong, determined…and can even be described as abrasive depending on the topic…however, I can truly say at the root of those characteristics is love, passion and a deep grievance to see people experience the freedom that comes with trusting God (big G not the little) and being healthy enough to know that TRUE love doesn’t condemn, but it does CORRECT.
.
Due to us living in a world where correction is often delivered on the wings of ego, pride, secret agendas, narcissism, unresolved trauma…people are hurting and one of the very things we need to be healed, is one of the very things our hurt makes us fearful of: CORRECTION.
.
Every time I’ve been corrected in my life, it’s been uncomfortable…and it still is…and always will be…because growth is uncomfortable. The way people correct is DEFINITELY a conversation worth talking about, however, the way I’ve discerned in those moments of correction is what has prevented me from continuously allowing the enemy to plant seeds of offense or bitterness in my heart…because I know I’ve been hemmed up in relationships due to those seeds, in the past.

Discernment is not something that you can claim due to experience, it’s something that is gifted, nurtured and requires humility and openness; 1st before God, within yourself and then alongside others. It comes from intimacy with God, his word, loving boundaries, intention, healing through hard work…that honestly I’m not going to convince you is always FUN, however, is NECESSARY to experience walking freely in who God created us to be ✨

Leadership is a two-way street that is often mistaken for a one-way up-hill…sad story bro. You can’t hear the heart of people, and love them through it, without knowing and emulating the heart of God. Let’s regulate servant leadership, tactfulness, and doing the work to heal from past hurts so we can get out of the cycles, and stop living in perpetual states of offense & defense, and move forward, boldly, into what God has next for us 💪🏾…The work is never done, but is always freeing. I want to take a moment to give a huge shout-out to Chef Natalie DuPoux @__natibynature , an incredible force in the culinary world and an integral part of the RICH KIDZ BIZ-NESS Workshop! 🍽️✨

Chef Natalie’s passion for food and her dedication to teaching our youth proper business table etiquette has left a lasting impact on everyone who attended. 🙌 Her expertise not only added immense value to the event but also helped inspire the next generation to carry themselves with confidence and class in any setting. 👏

We are beyond grateful for her continued support and contribution to our mission of empowering the youth. Thank you, Chef Natalie, for being a part of this journey with us! 🌟

Years of prayers were answered this past year and a chapter book worth of wisdom and affirmed promises were gained:

1. God is a MASTER CHEF and takes SUSTAINABILITY more serious than anyone I know…He wastes NOTHING. #lethimcook

2. Obedience is NOT just about WHAT you do, the ‘WHEN’ and ‘HOW’ are critical

3. Being in a season of harvest, doesn’t mean the toiling stops. There is always something for God to be working through you (and in you).

4. Grief has many shades. Sometimes it’s accepting that what you thought you wanted, isn’t what you needed — pruning doesn’t feel good, but the fruit is unmatched.

5. Real G’s move in silence like Lasagna <<< known this one for a long time…because I’m a real G 😉🙂‍↕️😆

6. Yes marriage is work, but that work feels like an insured, high-interest, compounding, return on investment when you’re doing the work with someone who understands the Master’s plan is the master plan 💪🏾 @rl_hen

7. Vindication in God’s hands can’t be matched with ANYTHING we could muster up in our own will. The table he prepares in the presence of our enemies is unlike any table we could think to set on our own. Have a seat, and let him do the rest 🥹😮‍💨🙏🏾

In case you didn’t know! 📸: Set your camera to video mode and just let it roll, works every time especially with squirmy kids or camera-shy friends/spouses! Later, just scrub through and screenshot the best frame. You’ll almost always catch a perfect moment without the stress of retakes!

✨THIS…✨

…weekend was the first one in a little moment where I wasn’t serving within the 4 walls on a Sunday, and I spent it the best way I knew how: spending time with those I love, in the spaces which bring me joy ✨

From Qasim’s annual Christmas caroling performance 🥹, to my mom’s dinner table 🤤, to decorating ornaments 🎄with my woes (to being rewarded with THE INFAMOUS banana pudding), to being Spiritually & emotionally fed 🫶🏾, to witnessing the Next Gen work being done in other cities 🙏🏾😮‍💨, to not having to think, to grown up convos, to one of the illest Reubens I’ve had in a LONG time…Biggups to @skilletsrestaurants 👌🏾✨, to Christmas classics in the kitchen while cooking up TikTok eats with family (I was just a Sous Chef 😬)…I LIVE for these moments…and God knows I needed them.

The wild part, is I only mentioned the pictured moments 📸🙃…the dope part, is the fact that these moments are becoming more common…and I’m here for it 🤍 by @__natibynature

Chapter 33 was PRESSURE.
.
Going into my ✨Jesus year✨, I expected to witness things shift…however, the way I was willingly and forcefully stretched was something I couldn’t have anticipated in the many ways it came 🫡🥴 This last chapter has likely been one of the most profound in this Natdapooh bio 🤯
.

Y’all I sit here typing this caption and all I can do is find comfort in this deep posture of gratitude 🙏🏾…especially for the room & space God has provided me in my life, as a result of this last chapter. I’m a recovering “full-plate girlie”, who is falling in love with what it means to have unoccupied space on my plate 🙂‍↔️. Join me…the water is just fine 🤭

I have some insight on what’s in store for Chapter 34 👀✨…however, the final say is never truly mine 🫡✝️…and although that may seem like the difficult part to accept, it’s actually the most freeing 😮‍💨😎 With that, Happy Birthday to me, and biggups to the ultimate Creator for this dope life He’s given me 💪🏾 Wouldn’t have it any other way 🫶🏾 by @__natibynature

Let’s go over some definitions real quick:

☝🏾Opportunity Cost (noun)
the loss of potential gain from other alternatives when one alternative is chosen.

✌🏾Peace (noun)
freedom from disturbance; tranquility.

Aight…now that we got that out the way let’s flush this thing out 👀Saying “yes” to a lot of things is not a bad thing as long as those things are not at the cost of your overall well-being. I’ve ALWAYS walked in a hustler’s mindset 😌, but the reality is hustlers are used to moving fast through experiences which are usually overstimulating 😤 (we are being honest right?!). As a creative I often hear “Nat, what can’t you do?!” And although it’s something to admire…it’s something I’ve always struggled with balancing…because I’m always determined to do it all 🤷🏾‍♀️…not for the recognition of accomplishment…but due to this deep desire to operate in the fullness of my gifts and talents.

Baaaaaaybe! I know you feel me, because your talents/skills can feel like double-edged swords ⚔️…buuuuuuut it’s not your gifts/talents holding you up…you ready?! It’s you 😭, it’s me 😫…it’s us babe 🥺. We love to do the most…often because we just love what we do…but just like loving people…we gotta set boundaries and embrace what it means to have SPACE & ROOM on our plates to just be.

Creatives/Visionaries don’t do well in states of being overstimulated…and although OUTSIDE can cause a lot of that, we are guilty for exposing ourselves to the overstimulation. It took me WAY too long to commit to this shift…and it’s not easy because you will say no to things that are great opportunities…so peep the comments for what’s been working for me 👀 by @__natibynature
