I’ve had the honor of witnessing a remarkable example of scholarship, resilience, determination, and public service through my baby brother, Donel Heflin Jr. He managed to work full-time in the military, participate in extracurricular activities, join college organizations, build relationships that will last him a lifetime, and show up professionally for multiple deployments all while navigating the many vicissitudes of life.

What stands out to me most is his unwavering commitment to excellence and his determination to succeed on his own terms. He advocated for himself, created time to study, made time for music, and somehow found balance in the middle of it all.

This weekend, his name will be called as a Magna Cum Laude graduate with a 3.8 GPA, earning his bachelor’s degree, and every bit of it was earned through discipline, sacrifice, and perseverance.

Congratulations, Buggy Bug, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!! May God continue to bless and guide you. I know Paw would be so proud of you! by @__only1netta

I made it! 🎓⚖️ I am officially a Liberty University graduate with my degree in Criminal Justice!
.
While my name is on the diploma, this achievement belongs to the incredible village that got me here. To my amazing Mom, my wonderful sisters, and my ride-or-die friends.

Special thanks to Doc @letichapriscilla for the endless love, the late-night pep talks, and the unwavering support throughout this entire journey.
.
I could not have crossed this finish line without you all. Balancing military life and college wasn’t easy, and I am the luckiest person in the world to have you in my corner. Go Flames! 🦅🔥
.
I am ready to put this degree to use, get back to work, and continue serving! 🪖🇺🇸🫡

It shouldn’t be hard to recap Easter but this year for me it is !!

I saw a little conversation on threads and women were sharing how they were preacher’s wives, pastor’s children, administrators of the church; and so many more other active, important roles beneficial to church progress in these positions stating how they weren’t sure if they would make it to church today and I can say me too !

BUT through it all and the reluctance I MADE IT !!!

Friday I pulled the covers back mourning sad knowing that they talked about, crucified, and killed my savior.

Saturday I woke up silent but got the day started, attended an Easter Egg hunt where I was able to give my time and volunteer; then I spent time with my sister celebrating “404” day in the city of Atlanta the best way we knew how hitting back roads and avoiding traffic thanking God because we grew here and not flew here ! A time was had;
But in my mind I knew that Jesus was still dead !!!

Now today,

Sunday; to culminate this weekend of never before seen events, JESUS is arisen and I made it to the house of God !!!!!

In this example I want you all to understand with me that it’s not about the glits and glam, sleep and slumber, haves and have nots, The Easter bunny nor the egg, but the resurrection !

If Jesus can come back from death, you too can come back from anything so long as you believe !

Not 3 seconds, Not 3 minutes, Not 3 hours, but 3 days : is all what it took for Jesus to rise !

His measure is not our measure; but the promise !!!

We have a reason to celebrate today !!!!!

HAPPY EASTER !!!!!

, With Love ! 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 by @__only1netta
