Some of my pics from OurVerse’s very first art exhibition >:D

(side note: I am no photographer pls gimme grace. It’s rlly just me and my digi cam against the world)

This was definitely one of our much calmer events that took place but it was also genuinely one of my favourites. We got to expand our community and really watch how people of all ages can connect if given the chance. The music, vibes, people, art and energy were amazing and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Much love to commonhouse for opening their doors to us again, they truly have become our home base, the place we always go back too!

To our community, I thank y’all for coming through and showing love to the artists who submitted. To showing up for your loved ones and your homies or for showing up to witness the creations of complete strangers.

It was wholesome watching everyone connect and to see the artists of western Sydney get the chance to show their work. This is just the beginning for our community and the creatives within it <3

To those who saw me standing on chairs to get pics throughout the event, you’re a real one for turning away like nothing was happening LMAO. I’m grateful I got to capture this event <3

I'm experimenting with a scrapbook aesthetic so it was something new. The prior pies perspectives I treated a bit like blogs and got silly with and idk if that comes off as juvenile or cringe but if y'all like that style too then let me know. That's assuming anyone reads these haha, although if you guys do read all this commet an 🔎 below cause I'm investigating how many people read this and if I should really yap so much.

Anyways let's talk about the artists imma do this one by one and mainly talk about the artist cause I don't have enough space to talk about how beautiful the person and their art is, and their artworks honestly speak for themselves.

@tess.royale dude you were AMAZING. I loved talking to you. Tess Royal is such a down to earth and honest individual who is passionate about trying to dismantle the stigma around fat bodies, and I love the way they treat fat as just a descriptor, showing that it's okay to be fat and the word itself only has malice if a person attaches it to the word. Tess you're so creative and passionate please keep creating!

@adam_plimmer I'm not sure exactly what to say cause Adam is the artist I spent the most time talking to. I will say this, Adam inspired me so much that day as I also love photography, seeing someone who's refined this talent so well was just inspiring and honestly adam inspires me off his character alone, really fun to talk to and there's so much love in his heart when he talks about his kids. Not only did he inspire me as a photographer but as a person too!

@juneofhyrule , your photography was amazing and the lighting was a real inspiration to me as I struggle with it myself. Jennifer is such an awesome human being, she's really easy to talk to, and I love how she expressed the idea of femininity. Exploring the "dark side" of femininity is so great especially since she does this in a way that incorporates their interest in gothic and vampiric aesthetics.

@cameron_w_20 , I've been seeing Cameron around a lot at other events so it was such a pleasure to see him at ourverse and see his art! Cameron is a very kind and wholesome individual, keep up the amazing typography and poetry! by @__ourverse__

AntiUtopia: Art in a Broken World - Art Exhibition Recap P.1

Welcome to @dancheema_ photography 📷💥

_

Still reeling from everything this event gave me. AntiUtopia was more than an exhibition, it was a beautiful chaos where art came alive. It celebrated honest art over perfect art.

As a first time event photographer, every snap felt like a symphony between the lens and the room's energy. It was my debut in a new medium, speaking volumes without words.

Kudos to the artists who shared their work, it didn't just hang on walls, it resonated with people. And to the community that showed love, thanks for letting me capture the real, raw moments.

This is just the start of my journey.
