19SEP🗓️ 0530🕠 50K➡️ 2700M↗️ SAPA📍
@vietnammountainmarathon

The summit of cow mountain, a spectacular 360 view of sapa, the pinnacle of the 50k trail series was undoubtedly an unforgettable experiences.

Finishing this year race was not an easy feat. With the accumulated rain before the race, much of the route was covered in wet earth dirt (mud, clay, cow poo). Each vertical steps up took extra effort and energy.

My path to the finish line had become more challenging as my pole was broken near the beginning of the race. Countless falls into the mud was mentally exhausting as well. All these unpredictable events shed off the glimpse of hope until I bumped into a new HK friend @boeylau1230. The reunion during the race regain my courage to continue and we walked past the finish line together.

Rapha Shanghai Far01 - Another quick clip climbing up the mountain for the warm up ride.

Weather was ideal. Not too hot and humid.
Road conditions were smooth and nearly perfect.
Similar elevation as HK TMS but 4x easier.

Riders were divided into three groups and I started among group two.

First mixed doubles with my partner @callmejan_net and her first ever hyrox race.

When she signed up, she planned to do 1% of the stations.
On race day, she contributed 10-20% of the stations.

Start together and finish strong together.

My chilling pace chur爆 her heart 😆 but I think we can go faster.

Thanks @hyroxhk for giving us a memorable day
