🦿 STAUNCH III 🦿

VOL 3 of our STAUNCH series! A massive deep dive into the most influential sub-genres of bass, curated & executed by some of Naarm's best heavy weights in their chosen stylings. A fusion mashup of sound pushed by the full Yabai rig with no compromise on low end n' clarity!
Everyone on this lineup is no stranger to mixing on Yabai. We are blessed to be held by so much talent who very much play their part in the backbone of the bass scene from selectors, djs, producers, label owners & event organisers. They all know how it goes!
This STAUNCH is a very special one in particular as this will be the last you hear Yabai ;( We are moving North and wont be back down until this time next year... so... "Do not miss" is an under statement!
held at the iconic @thetoffintown
9.30pm ~ Late...L8
Limited online 🎟️ sales (link in bio)
Rest will be on the door ¥

HEX are taking over The Boombox on Monday at Earth Frequency Festival 2026 🐝

Born on the Sunshine Coast from a shared obsession with sound, design, and permaculture, HEX has been cultivating grassroots music culture and community connection since 2015. HEX has grown from humble campouts into a vital regional platform, driving self-produced gatherings like HUM Festival, hosting internationals like Mungo’s Hi Fi, and powering amazing stages for crews across South-East Queensland.

Recognisable by their custom-built, handcrafted timber enclosures and signature honeycomb grilles, the system is engineered to deliver deep, effortless bass and pristine clarity, serving as a high-quality launchpad for local emerging artists. For their Monday Boombox takeover, HEX cross-pollinates the festival’s Full Bloom theme with their own HEX Bee ethos to bring awareness to the ecological struggles of the honey bee.

Expect an immersive, community-driven activation featuring on-theme decor, curated dress-ups, roving edutainment, and collaborative back-to-back DJ sets powered by their heavyweight custom sound system, which will be bringing the bass to the Boombox for the whole weekend 🔊 taken in Woodfordia by @__simbie

Dubstep holiday #2 done and dusted! 19 days, 6 shows, 1 radio/livestream. Shenzhen, Nagoya, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Manila ✈️

Had such an amazing time travelling to all of these places. Being able to catch up with good friends, meet more internet family in real life and to meet new faces and community.

Every show was top tier and am extremely grateful for the opportunities that were given to be a part of them.

Had another round of wild card energy, this time with the external hard drive dying. Currently waiting on an update on data recovery, fingers crossed the bulk of my music can be retrieved. This newfound continuity, not a vibe 😂

Big love to everyone who I crossed paths with on this trip and apologies if I have left anyone off the list below. Had a 10/10 time and am looking forward to coming back out again in September x
