ATTENTION: The first @6bcgarden show of the season is on Saturday 7/18 and it features my good pal Sal who is flying all the way in from Scotland just to sing for you, so the least you can do is show up. It’s free and it’s in a beautiful botanic garden and if you don’t believe me then swipe the carousel

ALSO: we saw soccer, Em brought a lily pad home in a pot of water and now it’s on our deck, and the @warriorsnyc ride lived up the hype

There are over 30 cars signed up the @brooklynpinewoodderby this Sunday, and we’re excited to have a few local legends joining us in the celebrity section of the bracket. Let’s meet a few of our racers:

🏁 @gp.selvaggio Photographer extraordinaire. His car is made of legos and his heart is open.

🏁 @k1nneret Brooklyn based pop star has been in the workshop whittling and gluing her avian inspired car

🏁 @jeffwucher Mainstay of @ucbtny and staple of the NY comedy scene, he may have a scheduling conflict during the race but an alternate has been lined up!

🏁 @jonathangrandma DJ, translator, and writer whose book “Superstars” is climbing the charts. Will he also be a pinewood superstar?

If you want to race but don’t have time to build a little car before Sunday, we will have LIMITED pre-built cars available for cheap at the door, and art supplies so you can customize a car before our first heat. taken in Rubulad by @_accidentalfaces_

🏎️ 🏎️ Vroom vroom! The Brooklyn Pinewood Derby - the tiniest but mightiest race in the five burrows - is happening June 21

Come experience the weird and wonderful excitement as racers from across the city pit their homemade cars made of any material against each other in our no-rules, cub-scout inspired derby. In between race heats we’ll have DJs, bands, and a pop-up market.

Want to build a car? Show off your creative chops and use any materials or found objects to build a banana-sized car that can fit on our DIY track. If you’re more of an artist than a racer, don’t worry. Having the fastest car is only one way to win, we’ll be handing out prizes for design categories as well.

Save $20 by copping one of just a few early bird tickets now thru the link in bio.

Swipe ➡️➡️ for car and track inspo!

Link in bio to buy a ticket and find out more about entry details for the cars . Brought to you by @benmillion of @chapter.nyc and @accidentalfaces 🏎️ 🏎️ by @_accidentalfaces_

Next @atriumartists retreat just announced and you should come 🌀🌀

One of my biggest joys is helping put together these retreats for musicians producers songwriters artists etc to spend some time together making cool stuff and talking about real emotions.

And man do we have a real DOOZIE planned for the next one. Brad Cook aka one of the most soulful and talented producers out there is going to be our special guest! We’ll be in the Minnesotan woods in deep summer! There’s a pool! There’s hiking! There’s the studio where nirvana recorded “in utero!” There’s light therapy! There is the optional add-on to join for @eauxclaireswi after!

Applications just opened so go get after it by @_accidentalfaces_

Come to Mexico with me to make music this November? We just launched our fall retreat with @atriumartists and I would love for some homies to come!

These retreats are for anyone who makes music full or part time and would repsond “neat, sign me up” when presented with the opportunity to go to a world-class studio to make music and goof off alongside other cool people and a grammy-winning producer. There will be karaoke, there will be nature walks, I will insist you add vibraphone (slide 3) to all of your tracks, and I will force you to play dice and gamble (slide 8) with me.

And I can definitely promise the vibes will better than the video ai generated (last slide) when I described the weekend. Can’t confirm how many seagulls there will be though..

I don’t know why you’d even need more info, but if you really insist here are details:
- 5 days at the beautiful @eltriangulo_mazunte in Oaxaca (!!!) November 5-10
- Studio time, mindfulness workshops, writing, jamming, and general creative shenanigans
- Workshops led by the one and only @iggywillinger and @cbstuart
- One-on-one studio time with legendary producer @congletonjohn

Pricing etc in in the @atriumartists bio but hit me up if you wanna talk about it! by @_accidentalfaces_

Made a song and shot this video on the Amtrak from DC to NYC and sharing here because why not

Thank you @bluelikethecolor @school_of_song and most importantly @brianeno for teaching me that everyone can make and share songs (and should!) even if you have no idea what you’re doing. taken in Amtrak Northeast Regional Train by @_accidentalfaces_
