just released two songs recorded during a magical week in cannon falls, minnesota. so, so much love to @salstenning for her gorgeous lyrics and singing, jer on the clarinet (jer-inet?), and professor/bassist @bradleywcook and @paulvoran for reminding me of the joy in workshopping a song together and how to let go while being decisive about what a song needs to be.

also, a big hug to @atriumartists for bringing together the coolest, kindest, musically-minded people and reminding me that a different life is possible :)

We are still riding the high from our blissful week at @pachydermstudios - such a special group! Huge thank you to the one of a kind human that is @bradleycook for your deep wisdom, inherent generosity, and endless warmth throughout the week. Massive thank you as well to @paulvoran for your work, patience, and knowledge throughout the week.

And most of all so much gratitude to this incredible group of musicians and artists for being so willing to share their thoughts, ideas, and insane talents throughout the retreat. Can’t wait to see what comes next from this group.

As Brad would say, let’s go fuckers!

There are over 30 cars signed up the @brooklynpinewoodderby this Sunday, and we’re excited to have a few local legends joining us in the celebrity section of the bracket. Let’s meet a few of our racers:

🏁 @gp.selvaggio Photographer extraordinaire. His car is made of legos and his heart is open.

🏁 @k1nneret Brooklyn based pop star has been in the workshop whittling and gluing her avian inspired car

🏁 @jeffwucher Mainstay of @ucbtny and staple of the NY comedy scene, he may have a scheduling conflict during the race but an alternate has been lined up!

🏁 @jonathangrandma DJ, translator, and writer whose book “Superstars” is climbing the charts. Will he also be a pinewood superstar?

If you want to race but don’t have time to build a little car before Sunday, we will have LIMITED pre-built cars available for cheap at the door, and art supplies so you can customize a car before our first heat.
