Very thankful for the people that God has put in my life and the people I’ve met.

H-Town Showdown 2023

Most fun I’ve had at a meet tbh
I also ended up unstopping a toilet at the gym too because I’m a service plumber and that’s just what I do 🪠👋🏼

I also weighed in heavy with a full stomach because I really just show up to lift to have fun. I love you @dirtychaipapi and I’m sorry I haven’t filled out my sheets

Had the toughest prep mentally and physically for this one. I hurt my left quad pretty bad at work. Had a lot of pain squatting, deadlifting and even benching when using leg drive. Prep tends to get goofy when your 9-5 is physical labor. Still collecting data and improving on what we can do/expect.

Struggled getting 385 up for squats also had a lot of trouble finishing my deadlifts. We stay HARD and show up anyway. Left with a lot of PR’s and great memories.

H-Town Showdown 🥩

Glory be to God

1st official meet down in the books and secured my 1000lb total goal.

Thankful for my wife, coach, friends, and people I’ve just met for being so supportive 🙏 Also to TSS and the USAPL for running this event

Total: 457.5kg / 1008lbs
Squat: (2/3) 162.5kg / 358.2lbs
Bench: (3/3) 112.5kg / 248lbs
Deadlift: (3/3) 182.5kg / 402.3lb

Had a lil sticking point on squat and the spotters had grabbed the bar early in good spirit. Is what it is just gotta make it move better next time 👌🏼

Glory to God

Running a short run series on what God has revealed to me through these past 21 days of prayer and fasting.

Contemplating content style but felt lead to at least start somewhere. Thank you @rodneydouglasofficial for pushing me to put something out there.

Week 1
Trust/Faith

A lot of the times it may be hard to see past a certain obstacle when we are standing right in front of it. But is our God not greater than?

My Prayer
Lord, even though I don’t see you I know you are moving in ways that I cannot even fathom. Even though I don’t understand it I will continue to trust in you. I come to you in reverence with my prayers and request knowing you will answer. I lay my anxieties, fears, and doubts down at your feet. I ask you to remove these things from my heart and fill me with your spirit so that I may produce much fruit. I thank you Lord for your grace, mercy, and power.
I pray all these things in the name of Jesus
Amen

Life at the time-present:
My mom had suddenly fainted directly outside her front door after walking her dog and hit the back of her head on the concrete from falling. Thank God the Lord sent his angels through her neighbors to find her bleeding/unconscious. The ambulance and hospital were able to finally stop her bleeding and patch her up but her vitals began to worsen without any particular reason and cease to improve. We spent most of this week in the hospital with her during this process to monitor her health and try to find why she had suddenly fainted. This invited a lot of fear, doubt, and anxiety from unanswered questions. Even then we persisted and went to God first. By the grace of God my mom was able to make a full recovery as if nothing ever happened. She still had a portable heart monitor just to be safe but Thank you, Lord for getting us out of that hospital and my mother back on her feet. Bless the hand and feet of her neighbors, the ambulance, and hospital staff.

Revelation:
It is easy to trust and praise God on the easy days. True testaments of faith are shown on your ability to praise, trust, and have faith when nothing makes. Continue to trust and praise

Thank you for who you are Lord and what you have done. Truly there is nothing greater than you.
I surrender my life to you and thank you for the transformation in my heart.

You have led me into places that I never saw myself before I truly met you and I couldn’t be more glad.

Blessed to see another day. Blessed to have restoration in relationship and health with my mother.
