God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called🙏🏼

long ago, @sarahsaraglobal found me in the gym at church and told me to look up powerlifting bc i might be good at it. i didn’t think much of it, but signed up for my first meet that night for fun. i never could’ve imagined the journey ahead that God had already planned out for me.

i never could’ve imagined that God would use someone like me. i always felt unqualified, that i was not the right person, not capable enough to do what He called me to do. but time and time again, He reminds me that it’s not about who’s “able”, but who’s “available”. He’s just looking for obedience and surrender, He’ll take care of the rest.

In tears watching how God has transformed me over these years and it helps encourage me to keep running this race that we started. Again and again i’ll say, God is so good and i am forever thankful as i truly would not be here without Him❤️🙏🏼

and a special thank you to my husband who has been my rock and my biggest cheerleader over these years. i am so blessed to have you in my corner❤️

⚠️TW: self harm/depression/suicidal ideation

TLDR: From broken, to restored/redeemed and empowered. I lift to honor God with the talents He gave me, to give God the glory, and to do it for her❤️

I used to be so weak/hopeless, empty, and believed that I truly was worthless. I struggled with self harm and suicidal attempts. I struggled with shame and isolation.

But God set me free and made me new.

The enemy constantly tries to bring up my past and tries to trigger doubt/insecurities that used to have so much power over me. But with my powerlifting journey, I’ve not only gotten physically stronger, but spiritually/emotionally/mentally stronger. The same power that rose Jesus from the dead, is also within me. For God created in me a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline. I have the power to take captive of all of the lies of the enemy and make it obedient to God’s truths.

God is good, and I’m so blessed to even be able to stand on the platform. ❤️🙏🏼

Keep going, your breakthrough/miracle is on the way❤️

The same God that created the universe, that split the Red Sea, that conquered death, that did all things that man said was impossible, is the same God that is still working in your life today.

Leading into this meet, my faith was challenged in a new way. I’ve been working hard at things, praying non stop for things, but not seeing any movement. I felt discouraged and confused. My head and my heart were filled with doubt. End of 2024, my pastor mentioned that often times we give up right before the breakthrough. What if I stop pushing and I was just 2 feet away from the blessings God had in store for me? What if I turned back around bc it didn’t look like what I was asking for in my prayers, but God actually had so much more than what I ever could have imagined?

For Romans 8:18 says our present suffering cannot compare to the future glory that will be revealed by God. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow: God is good, God is faithful. Keep trusting in God, keep pushing through. His timing is perfect, and He keeps His promises.

Keep going ❤️

To God be the Glory, forever and ever amen🙏🏼

so incredibly blessed to say goodbye for now to my PL career completing my 10th meet and placing 10th in the nation.

God is truly so good and i am so thankful for His protection, His peace, His comfort, His strength, and His provision.

despite all that life has thrown at me these past months (mentally, emotionally, physically), despite all the chaos this weekend (cancelled flights, almost losing our hotel/car rental reservation), despite this meet not being my best “number wise” - GOD BROUGHT US THROUGH!

this was the first meet where i peacefully slept through the night before, didn’t stress/get frustrated at all over things not going as planned during the meet and maintained a state of gratitude. at all times during this meet prep and meet, i was non-stop running to the feet of Jesus and surrendering it all to Him and in return He covered me with His peace that world could never give and could never take away - and that’s the biggest all time PR right there that i would never trade for anything else 🥹❤️

thank you to everyone who has loved, supported, encouraged, and prayed for me/over me during my PL journey. truly have so much love and appreciation for each and every one of you❤️

raaahhh all glory to God 😭🙏🏼
S: 386lbs x 1 (failed back in Feb)
🚨B: 270lbs x 1 (ATPR‼️) (failed last Thursday LOL)
D: 419lbs x 2 (failed back in Feb)
Total: 1,075lbs

i love celebrating wins like these bc it reminds me that failure is not the end, it just makes my journey more beautiful. whenever i fail, the enemy tries to convince me that i’m “washed”/“done”, that i should call it quits. and when i get these wins, i remember as im even taking a new breath that God is still not done with me yet, so we’re not done yet.

but ahhhh PL has been a journey after my sciatica flare up lol. just learning to take things one session at a time, trusting God, trusting my coach, and learning to have grace with myself.

God is so good and i truly am so blessed to even be able to stand on the platform.

it’ll be there meet day, ~ 7 weeks out
