It is with deep sadness that the Emmett Till Family and The Mamie Till Mobley Memorial Foundation announce the sudden passing of Executive Director, Mrs. Airickca Gordon Taylor. Airickca, 50, cousin to Emmett Louis Till, has been a stalwart and advocate for social justice and equality. She spent countless years as a dedicated advocate for anti-lynching legislation, pro peace marches, youth conferences and has supported the Board, shareholders, volunteers, and countless community non-profits through her selfless dedication to the vision of the Foundation. by @_airickca_

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A day after the House of Representatives passed historic legislation making lynching a federal crime, today myself and mother Ollie Gordon joined architects of the bill, U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), U.S. Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA), and U.S. Rep Bobby Rush (D-IL), for an emotional conversation in the Capitol about America’s painful history of lynching and the long-overdue need for federal anti-lynching legislation.

Historic day as the Emmett Till Antilynching Bill was passed by the House of Representatives 410 to 4. It has taken 120 years for us to get to this point. Tomorrow the Senate votes and then off to the president. Thank you Lord...it's about damn time!

This Sunday St. Sabina will have their Dr. King Celebration at the 11:15 Service. Guest Speaker SARAH RUDOLPH often referred to as the " 5th Little Girl" who survived the bombing at the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham in 1963. Her sister Addie Mae was Killed in the Bombing.
Her story of survival and thereafter is inspiring and a must hear! If you are in the area go to the services! Love you Miss Sarah! 💖 by @_airickca_
