reminiscing on 31 and feeling so much tenderness and gratitude. this last year I tried to turn my attention to exploration, love and laughter. here are some highlights:

-I fell more in love with my bug, friends, and life
-I said yes over and over again, even when my anxiety said no.
-finally dipped my toes into spinning records, con mi hermana by my side every step of the way.
-made my first tapestry (5 feet x 8feet!!)
and most importantly:
-i remembered, this is the whole point :-)

you can catch me dancing into my 32nd year with a full heart 🌞 taken in EARTH by @_alfrn

We can’t wait to welcome you all back again May 31 for RECESS. Legend @tduvante gracing us with his smooooth trax. You bring the heat, we will bring the misters. Secure your tickets early and see you all there ¨̮

Al Fernandez captured our first RECESS beautifully. Everyone hit the courts strong, stayed all day and danced all day. We are so grateful for the energy and play our community brought and cannot wait to share this all again together.

Xx em and Matthew

El Sostén de la Familia, 2022
Analog Photography
Prints Available, DM for pricing.

Currently on display at Finch Lane Gallery as part of the @sister.slc show Radical Joy ✨ and available for your viewing pleasure until April 21st.

This piece means a lot to me and I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to share it. I hope folks can feel the pure admiration and love I have for mi gente. I see the endless possibilities of a joyful life in this. In finding the strength each day to show up for yourself. In being able to provide for your family. In bringing a smile to the face of a stranger, with something as seemingly simple as a bag of chicharrones. ♥ taken in Finch Lane Gallery by @_alfrn

would like to say a huge thank you to the angel @maruquevedo for curating such a special night, showcasing latinx creators, and bringing together our community. the work done by them and @jordir0c (aka the beloved @sister.slc) should never go unnoticed.

amo mi gente, gracias por todo el apoyo.

absolute gems captured by @carlos_guzman (go see his work in the show if you haven’t stopped by yet!) oh and swipe right for some big cheese. taken in FICE gallery by @_alfrn
