Hey ya'll, we've finally got an official intro for Aqua Underwear's first intern Al! A little from them in their own words:

Hi I’m Al (they/them). I’m a a 27 year old queer latinx mixed-media artist and stylist based out of SLC. I joined Aqua Underwear in May 2021 and dove right into prep for the summer launch. I’ve studied in a couple different fields of art and currently am a student in SLCC’s Fashion Design program; my emphasis is technical apparel design.

When I’m not working on Aqua or school, I love cooking for friends and family, cycling, film photography, and making rugs/fiber art. I began rug tufting just over a year ago and will be releasing my first collection soon!

I’ve always enjoyed being in a field of work that can be creative and supportive of peoples well-being, so I’m excited to be a part of Aqua and help people feel affirmed and comfortable in their boxies!

- Al

Now, I'll just add that I'm so incredibly grateful to have help, running a growing business alone seems near impossible. And I'm especially happy that help is coming from Al, because they are such a natural and talented sewist! 💙💙💙

ID: Al, sits in the passenger seat of a car, half smiling, looking slightly to the left. They have dark hair, made up of natural loose curls, a little longer than shoulder length, bangs, a light brown complexion, dark round glasses and is wearing a white t-shirt.
