POV: California just put microplastics on its toxic chemicals watch list and now I’m trusting nothing in my bathroom 😅

Quick clarity: this is NOT a ban. It’s the state officially saying “we’re watching you” giving itself the power to regulate products containing microplastics next.

Why does it matter?
This is a great step in the right direction for people and our planet!🌎

Microplastics are now showing up inside the human body, including placenta and heart tissue and they don’t break down, so they just keep piling up in our oceans, soil, and food chain.

As a 20-year beauty pro trying to go non-tox (and NOT there yet), I’m paying attention.

CLEAN BEAUTY has a marketing problem & We created it.

When you hear “clean beauty” do you immediately think…doesn’t work, It’s not going to give me the results” I honestly get it!

We’ve spent YEARS telling you what we’ve REMOVED from skincare instead of educating you on what we’ve actually put IN IT. No wonder you’re skeptical!

Imagine your grandma passes away and leaves behind her famous, buttery, made from scratch CHICKEN POT PIE, with that thick, fluffy, golden brown biscuit crust. The one responsible for at least one of your extra butt cheeks. 😂

Except Grandma leaves the recipe to your VEGAN COUSIN.

And your cousin starts announcing…

“No butter!”
“No chicken!”
“No heavy cream!”
“No dairy!”

MA’AM. WHAT’S LEFT?! THE PEAS?!

You’d assume that pot pie was going to taste like sadness covered in cardboard.

AND THAT’S WHAT WE’VE DONE TO CLEAN BEAUTY.

We’ve marketed everything we’ve eliminated w/o explaining what we’ve replaced it WITH.

What if your vegan cousin spent YEARS researching alternatives and perfected Grandma’s recipe?

Same creamy filling. Same fluffy crust. Same delicious flavor, And you went back for SECONDS without realizing she’d changed a thing?! You almost missed out because nobody explained what was actually IN IT.

THIS is the clean beauty conversation we should be having!

Clean shouldn’t mean sacrificing RESULTS.

It should mean thoughtfully choosing what goes INTO a formulation, not just what stays OUT.

We’re talking science backed ingredients like:

Niacinamide, Hyaluronic acid, Peptides,Vitamin C, Ceramides!

CLEAN & EFFECTIVE ARE NOT OPPOSITES.

You can care about ingredients & want fewer wrinkles, You can be ingredient conscious AND expect visible results.

The word CLEAN doesn’t determine whether skincare works, THE FORMULATION DOES.

It’s time we stop telling women everything they’re NOT getting & start educating them on what they ARE.

Your skincare shouldn’t be impressive just because of what’s MISSING. It should be impressive because of what’s IN IT.
