🀍 Fern 🀍 Fostering Meet and greets It's so hard. It's so hard to show someone who you are, when you're still learning who and how you are in a world that's only just starting to feel safe πŸ˜• I wish I were able to make a video, write an essay, tell the story of exactly who you are when you're with us, to show who you might be with someone else...but I can't. All I can do is tell them that you're so worth it 🀍 So special, and so hard to eventually say goodbye to 🀍🀍 And in doing that, I hope someone will be able to see who you might become, by their side 🀍🀍 . I have watched this man in his loyal devotion to the @nrlknights for the last 15 years of knowing him. And I know there are many more years before that. To watch his excitement grow as they went up the ladder to the finals this year has been such a massive change to previous years where they seemed to start off well and fade away. The hope that's grown throughout this year under their new coach is a welcome change to many other years, and it fully infected us all β€οΈβš”οΈπŸ’™ When they made the grand final, we knew we needed to be there but couldn't afford to make it happen. When @mcdonaldjonesstadium said they were putting on a free live watch party for the Newy fans, we made a split decision to jump on and nab tickets. And we got them!! 19 hours in the car, an emergency house sitter (thank you SO much @horseridingcentre !!!) and a massive lack of sleep, and we got to watch them play their grand final game surrounded by other loyal fans. Although they missed the win by one point, it was an electric atmosphere and one we were SO glad to be a part of!! Thank you for having us Newcastle!! We'll be back!! Thank you for sharing it with us Darren Shooter !!! Bring on 2027! Up the Knights!!! β€οΈβš”οΈπŸ’™ . . #nrl #nrlfinals #uptheknights #onemoreround #roadtripau by @_becomingself_
In a world that often feels hectic, unsettled and disconnected, there's a lot of times I dont really feel like I understand myself... ...but with them, I do πŸ’œπŸ™πŸ’« . . #mysanity #mypeace #safety #rescuemum #rescuemom by @_becomingself_
Thinking of all the men and women who have lost their lives and those who have lost their loved ones through war. Thinking of all those currently impacted by war around the globe. Thinking of all those who are here, but changed, in body, mind or spirit, from spending time serving their country. Thinking of those who come home who the system fails πŸ™ those who go home to no system, and those who go home to no home. Thinking of all the people who suffer at the hands of political power and unjust war; military and civilian. Thinking of the animals, too, who were sent into it without choice. Who trusted, who followed. The ones who carried, searched, waited, protected, and the ones who never made it home. Thinking of everyone that has fought, is fighting, and will continue to fight. And thinking of a world where the power of love overcomes the love of power. β€οΈπŸ’œβ€πŸ€πŸ™ . . #lestweforget #anzacday #remembering #wewillremember #honouringthem by @_becomingself_
πŸ¦‰πŸ’˜ This little dude (although not this specific one in the picture, but one just like it) has kept me awake for the past 4 nights with his/her cuckooing sound... Only, tonight, I am invested!!! Tonight, another one in the distance is cuckooing back!!! And now of course, despite having my alarm set for 2am for the meteor shower, I *can't possibly* let myself sleep, because I need to hear if the distance between them is getting smaller or not πŸ˜‚πŸ¦‰πŸ₯°πŸ’˜ So, while not strictly part of the Manypaws family, I present to you, *our* newest member...The Australian Boobook owl! I will let you know what I hear!!! . . #boobook #brisbaneowl #seqldowls #twittwoo #notacuckoo by @_becomingself_

Bailey has his forever πŸ€πŸŽ‰πŸ¦‹ And it is of course the best news in the world! And it proves that humans are very capable of holding more than one emotion at the same time!! We are thrilled that our sweet boy has found home in people we are lucky to call friends, who we will see and who will keep us up to date with his progress, AND we are very sad to see him leave us! And holding two truths is perfectly acceptable, and very, very human!!! We all wish you the very best life, Bailey, Bailey, Bailey 🀍❀️🀍 Thank you for giving him such a wonderful family @cassinjen @damocassin πŸ€πŸ™πŸ’« Thank you for choosing great people @villagetailsinc β€οΈπŸ™ We love you Bailey ❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️ . . #duality #livewell #emotional #fosterdogmum #fosterdogsofaustralia by @_becomingself_
