@aeonhakyavik has some of the tastiest electro vibes around 🧨. Couldn’t resist doing a mini remix 🎞️ on his latest clip, seriously go check out his Stankface electro modular riffage 🤩

Cheers to @benjaminjgraham for the lend of the @evettsdrums - need to do some more recording to do these beauties justice! 🤓 🎙️ by @_benwillis_

It’s been a truly frustrating time these past 2+ years for many people. And the new year is off to a rocky hiccup. However, it’s been a great time for introspection, facing your insecurities and what you really value most. Where ever the world is heading, life is too damn short, make the most of it and embrace what truly makes you happy with love, humility and passion. 🙏 🌈 ❤️🎵🥁🎸🎹📸🎥 #creative #love #passion #creativity #creativetools #expression #music #photography #filming #stories #loveislove #drumming #musician by @_benwillis_

Last video from the old space! 😅 Big thanks to Alan from @draliensmith for sending over the Alien8 & SubMic for us to check out and compare in a few different settings. These mics complimented each other perfectly, and seemed at home in all of these examples. There’s a lot of versatility in these things, especially the Alien8. After this video was experimenting with placing the Alien8 outside the kick, which was a pretty big favourite for me.

All drums in this video are @evettsdrums , Big thanks to Steve for making the best shit 🤌 we used 18x14 Jarrah, 22x16 Jarrah & 24x14 Hoop Pine / Jarrah Bass drums.

And also a big thanks to @_benwillis_ for filming and support, you’re a legend!!

It’s a nice feeling to have the last video in the old studio be something that showcases some great talent and builders in Aus! by @_benwillis_

🕊️ It’s been a challenging and very humbling week. As some of you may know, my creative office space / studio, along with other family business and apartment residents, were in the firing line of a severe arson attack.

Firefighters sprayed over 50,000L of water into the fire to extinguish it. This has meant that there has been extensive water damage along with my ceiling collapsing in on my space.

Thank you to everyone that has reached out to me this week, it’s genuinely been really touching. Despite being an awful and deflating situation, it has been a half glass full / camaraderie attitude with everyone I’ve been working through this with.

Most importantly, everyone made it out of the fire safe. However those who had apartments next to my building have lost everything! Musical equipment as well as sentimental items. If you would like to help those people out, both @ryanjhaus & Cameron Thompson also have Go Fund Me set up to help them get back on their feet.

Unfortunately my story is also a very similar story to @benjaminjgraham who has the studio directly next to me. He has suffered extensive water and fire damage. A Go Fund Me has been setup to help support his young family come back from the large loss of equipment and currently his literal livelihood.

If you’re in the position to and you’d like to help me out, there has been a GoFundMe setup, with the link in my bio. 🫶

(PS - I also wanted to take a moment to thank everyone that came through to create in the space with a few memory snaps… 📸 ) by @_benwillis_
