Spent a magical day at @synthtemple filming for @focusriteaustralia featuring their gorgeous new ISA C8X interface. Look forward to sharing some video with you all soon. Massive shout out to @_benwillis_ and @dugongjr for their stellar videography skills and to the very accomodating Steve, Tony & Fiona at Synth Temple - what an incredible space you’ve created 🤍

Meet Synth Pod C! A 7m long wall of modulars with a complete Roland System 100, Moog System 55 (reissue), 57 module Dot Com system and a very rare GRP A8 semi-modular. Together with a Yamaha CS-80, hard-to-find Waldorf Wave from the 1990s, Ult-Sounds DS-4 drum machine, the electric Digital Keyboards Synergy II+, the Emu Emulator II and lots more.

Fun fact, before making their way to SynthTemple, our Moog Synthesizer 12 & 15 cabinets were found discarded on a Melbourne nature strip. After coming to us, we reunited them with a 952 keyboard - we often wonder where the third cabinet got to as they look to have been a custom build.

Synth Pod C is a big hit with students from Collarts, University of Melbourne and many others who book it through our website. Don’t be intimidated by these beasts - bring your laptop and Steve or Tony will quickly set you up to record to your DAW and can always give you some guidance, show you some patches etc. Imagine what you can create it this pod! 🔥🔥🔥 Even better listening to it via the Genelecs.

Head to our website for details on everything that is in Synth Pod C https://www.synthtemple.com/gear/

Last video from the old space! 😅 Big thanks to Alan from @draliensmith for sending over the Alien8 & SubMic for us to check out and compare in a few different settings. These mics complimented each other perfectly, and seemed at home in all of these examples. There’s a lot of versatility in these things, especially the Alien8. After this video was experimenting with placing the Alien8 outside the kick, which was a pretty big favourite for me.

All drums in this video are @evettsdrums , Big thanks to Steve for making the best shit 🤌 we used 18x14 Jarrah, 22x16 Jarrah & 24x14 Hoop Pine / Jarrah Bass drums.

And also a big thanks to @_benwillis_ for filming and support, you’re a legend!!

It’s a nice feeling to have the last video in the old studio be something that showcases some great talent and builders in Aus!

I’m not a bass player — just having fun while my feet are still sore from running at @westmacsmonster 😅 Trying to use my fingers more than my feet 🎸🎹

Big thanks to @_benwillis_ for replacing my Interface. We’re back in business and pumping out more demos again 🔥🎶

See you all on 23/05 at @ghostgumblues
