Rules:
🌀Must move in and around the box on the ground
🌀Must be a shot off the catch
🌀Must turn eyes and body away from the hoop as soon as the ball has left your hand
🌀First to 3 makes wins

Why are we doing it?
1. Building the confidence to let go of the result in a game where the result of the shot determines the winner

2. Taking the eyes out of the equation after the release to see if the body can “feel” the shot on a deeper level

3. Testing our proprioceptive abilities then transitioning ➡️ Finding the ball ➡️ Finding the rim (quiet eye) ➡️ Quickly letting go of gaze on the rim (maybe there is something here that can develop a more efficient quiet eye)

4. It’s fun, competitive, and creative taken in Salt Lake City, Utah by @_boringbasketball_

When we make the decision of what our life will look like, I’ve noticed that more often than not the universe will show us that we have no idea what will happen.

The longer I am alive the more I realize that the universe rewards those who
1. Lead with their heart
2. Surrender control
3. Live in their power

Which is how I am choosing to live my life
One day at a time

As my time with ADAPT Academy comes to a close, I can’t help but be filled with gratitude

Boys, I am incredibly proud of you all. You certainly learned many triggers and how to play good basketball. More importantly you learned what it means to be good humans. I have been truly blessed to have you all in my life and hopefully help you learn some stuff along the way.

My fellow coaches, you have left an everlasting impression on me. How to run a business, how to be adaptable, how to thrive in a loving relationship, how to reach young people, and how to live in my power. It was such a blessing to be around intentional, confident, intelligent, ambitious, and courageous people on a daily basis.

Gabe, I cannot thank you enough for welcoming me with open arms. You are a true leader and trailblazer in basketball and life. ADAPT is special because of you. My brother, I cannot wait to see how far you will take it.

College coaches aren’t just looking at how talented you are. They’re looking at how you handle your self through out the game. How do you respond after a couple of bad calls? What is your attitude like on the bench when you’re not playing well? How do you interact with your teammates and coaches? Etc. They’re also evaluating the players parents and how they handle them selves from a game to game basis.

Working closely with the University of Utah these past 3 years Coach Jake brought insight to all of our athletes and parents on what college coaches are looking for when recruiting athletes. @fulltimehoops1 by @_boringbasketball_
