Finding some time to move after a busy holiday season and lots of travel.

Feeling grateful to have this practice I can always come back to to ground myself no matter where I am 🤍

Right now I’m in Minnesota & I am cold!

Coaches have to step on the court every once in a while and show the youngins how to play the ADAPT Way.

The mental side of the game is often over looked and not talked about enough. A huge part of our program is talking about mindset and how we can use the mental side of the game to help us become more successful on and off the court.

Here Coach Jake talks about about an analogy of a stop light he learned from his old high school coach.

Green = everything is perfect and going very well
Yellow = is the middle ground
Red = lots of negative things happening and things are spiraling downward

Jake has players gauge at how they normally play in each spectrum. Then asks ideally where they’d want to be. Then we come up with a game plan on how they can get to their ideal percentages.

College coaches aren’t just looking at how talented you are. They’re looking at how you handle your self through out the game. How do you respond after a couple of bad calls? What is your attitude like on the bench when you’re not playing well? How do you interact with your teammates and coaches? Etc. They’re also evaluating the players parents and how they handle them selves from a game to game basis.

Working closely with the University of Utah these past 3 years Coach Jake brought insight to all of our athletes and parents on what college coaches are looking for when recruiting athletes. @fulltimehoops1
