We started with no floral background. Just a deep love for beauty and the courage to begin again 🥹💐

Back in 2020, this journey began with workshops, late-night practices, lots of crying moments and endless trial and error using flowers, fruits, and whatever we could get our hands on to create art.

From those quiet beginnings to professional trainings in Korea (and now Japan!), it’s been a 𝙨𝙡𝙤𝙬, 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙢 🌸

In 2024, we quietly built Blooms Artisan Floral Academy shaped by years of study, hands-on work, creating, and a calling to teach with meaning 💫

This is the story behind Blooms Artisan Floral Academy.

𝗡𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘀, 𝗻𝗼 𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 — 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵, 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 🤍

📩 If you’re starting from scratch too, we hope this gives you the nudge to bloom anyway! 🌸

I still can’t believe this happened!! 🥹💗

I’ve been fortunate to be interviewed on television before but being invited to Bilyonaryo News Channel @bnc.ph was something I secretly hoped for someday, so this one felt extra special 🥹

What made it even more memorable was stepping out of my comfort zone and doing a live floral demo using fresh flowers on national TV 🫣🌷

If you’ve been following my journey, you know I usually work with preserved flowers during interviews because they’re familiar and easier to handle.

This time, I accepted the challenge to create a modern bridal bouquet bag live on air while sharing my story—from finance and trading to floristry, entrepreneurship, and eventually building Blooms Artisan and BAFA.

I was honestly so nervous before going live, but Ms. Monique @moniquetuzon , Ms. Chal @chalchang , and the entire BNC team made the experience feel warm, fun, and welcoming 💗

Thank you, Bilyonaryo News Channel and The Daily Dish, for the opportunity to share my story, my love for flowers, and my mission of bringing Korean floral design and education closer to aspiring florists here in the Philippines.

And thank you to everyone who continues to support @bloomsartisan and @ba.floralacademy . So many of the opportunities I’ve been blessed with started because of your trust. THANK YOU 🥹

PS: You can watch the replay of the interview on their Youtube channel 🤗

6 weeks of learning tennis at 33 🥹🎾💗

Looking back at my videos from August 24 when I first held a tennis racket… I can’t believe I’m actually improving.

My forehand is getting better, my backhand still needs some work, and my cardio??? HAHAHAHA let’s not talk about it 🤣😭

I'm so happy that I keep showing up for my lessons, even on days when my body gets tired so easily.

I’m still very much a beginner, but seeing the difference between my first day and now makes me want to practice even more 🥰

Watch until the end to see my progress!! 🎾

Thank you so much to my friend @marecollantes for inviting me in my first tennis session and for introducing me to this sport. I'm so happy! 🥹🫶

Anyone else learning tennis in their 30s (or later)?
How’s it going for you? 🤗

From Davao to QC for a 1-on-1 Floral Business Class ✈️🌸

So grateful for students who are willing to travel just to learn with us 🥹💗

For this private class, we worked on both floral design techniques and the business side of floristry, so the experience goes beyond just creating something pretty.

Some of the things we covered:

💐 Korean-style bouquet using spiral technique
🌸 Korean-inspired flower basket arrangement
🍃 Composition, movement, balance & flower placement
✨ Korean-style wrapping and finishing
🌷 Floristry + floral business discussion
📊 Pricing, costing, workflow and practical business tips
🌼 Q&A based on her own goals and floral journey

And what we love most about our 1-on-1 classes is that we can really adjust the pace and discussion depending on the student’s experience, questions, and goals.

Seeing her create her first Korean-style bouquet and this beautiful basket after traveling all the way from Davao made this class extra special 🥰

Thank you for trusting BAFA to be part of your journey!
We’re always so happy to meet students from different parts of the Philippines — and even abroad — who are serious about learning and growing in floristry 💗

Thinking of taking a 1-on-1 or buddy floral class with us?

💌 Comment “FLORIST” and we’ll send you our current class options + schedules.
✨ Or send us a DM to inquire and reserve your slot

And if you know someone who has been dreaming of learning floral design, feel free to share this post with them 🌸💐

Day 2 of learning drums at 33 🥁

Went from learning drum notation to playing The Reason by @hoobastank !! 🥹💕

Turns out it’s also one of my teacher’s favorite songs, and I’m so happy he taught me how to play it.

My high school self would be SO HAPPY HAHAHA 😆
Brings back so many memories!! 🥲

PLEASE tell me I’m not the only one who loved this song back then?! 😂💕

Spent so much of my 20s working and building my career, and now at 33, I’m making more time for life outside of work 🥹💗

Trying new hobbies, meeting new people, making memories, and being a beginner at a million things HAHAHA 😂🌸

I’m learning that you don’t have to be good at something to enjoy doing it 💕 But of course, once I start liking it, I also want to get better at it HAHAHAHA 😭🤣

Here’s to having more fun in our 30s!! 🤗

💌 Send this to your friend who also needs a hobby outside of work hahaha 🤭

Sharing some recent floral art from my floral world 🥰🌸

I've been sharing my hobbies and side quests lately, and I'm happy to be exploring life outside of my work.

But of course, flowers are still my first love 🥹💕🌸

First gym workout since 2021?!! 😭😂

I have avoided this for YEARS but today I finally showed up 🥹💗

If you know me, I love food 🫣 so working out + losing weight has been one of those parts of my life I really didn’t want to face🥲

But after getting into tennis and pickleball, I can FEEL how much I need to get stronger. I get tired so fast, my cardio is suffering, and today my coach made me realize how tight my whole body is 😭😂

I actually got teary-eyed after the session because…
I finally did it. I'm proud of myself for showing up 🥹

Let's take it one step at a time 💕

Tennis Day 5 🎾 and I started just last Aug 24 training once a week 🥹💕

I’m at that stage where I hit one nice shot and immediately think
“wow… athlete???” HAHAHAHA 🤣

then the next ball reminds me who I am 😆

But look!!! I’m actually improving 🥹💗

This year I randomly decided I wanted to stop just thinking about all the things I wanted to try… so now at 33 I’m learning tennis, piano, drums, playing pickleball, making flowers and also collecting hobbies like side quests 😂

And yes, my back has also joined this journey HAHAHA 😭

✨ Follow if you also think your 30s is a perfectly good time to become a beginner at random things 💕

🎾 Day 5 — let’s see how far I can get 🫣
