From Davao to QC for a 1-on-1 Floral Business Class ✈️🌸

So grateful for students who are willing to travel just to learn with us 🥹💗

For this private class, we worked on both floral design techniques and the business side of floristry, so the experience goes beyond just creating something pretty.

Some of the things we covered:

💐 Korean-style bouquet using spiral technique
🌸 Korean-inspired flower basket arrangement
🍃 Composition, movement, balance & flower placement
✨ Korean-style wrapping and finishing
🌷 Floristry + floral business discussion
📊 Pricing, costing, workflow and practical business tips
🌼 Q&A based on her own goals and floral journey

And what we love most about our 1-on-1 classes is that we can really adjust the pace and discussion depending on the student’s experience, questions, and goals.

Seeing her create her first Korean-style bouquet and this beautiful basket after traveling all the way from Davao made this class extra special 🥰

Thank you for trusting BAFA to be part of your journey!
We’re always so happy to meet students from different parts of the Philippines — and even abroad — who are serious about learning and growing in floristry 💗

A little whimsical, a little unexpected 🌸✨

One of the arrangements we created during our recent 3-day 1-on-1 floral class: a Korean-inspired long and low composition focused on movement, balance, negative space, and letting each flower have its own moment.

We really love teaching pieces like this because it helps students move beyond simply “filling a container” and start thinking more intentionally about line, rhythm, proportion, and overall composition 💗

And this is also what we love about our private classes, we can adjust the lessons depending on the student’s experience, pace, and the kind of floral style they want to explore.

If you’ve been wanting to learn how to create more artful, Korean-inspired and modern floral designs, our 1-on-1 classes are open for upcoming schedules 🌷

💌 Comment “CLASS” and we’ll send you the details, or send us a message to inquire and book your private floral class with BAFA.

See you in the studio, Dear Bloomies! 🫶🌸

She flew all the way from Australia for a 1:1 floral class with us 🥹🇦🇺🌸

We worked on her floral techniques, bouquet composition, Korean style wrapping + the little details that make a design feel more intentional 💗

We also discussed Comprehensive Floral Business class about pricing, marketing, peak season tips, suppliers and other important things that can help you build your floral business.

One of our favorite things about 1:1 classes is being able to adjust the lesson based on each student’s experience, questions and goals, whether you’re learning for yourself or building your own floral business.

Thinking of taking a 1:1 class with us at @ba.floralacademy? 🌷

A little piece from my IFDA Korea certification journey last year 🌸🇰🇷

This preserved flower basket was one of the arrangements I created while studying in Korea, and one of the pieces that reminded me how much there still is to learn, even after years of working with flowers.

What I loved about this design was learning how to create movement and balance using preserved materials that can sometimes feel more structured and less forgiving than fresh flowers.

The muted purple, green and soft pink palette made the whole arrangement feel a little unexpected too. Not my usual color combination, but I ended up loving how it came together 💜🌿

Studying abroad has always been one of the ways I continue to challenge my own eye, techniques, and understanding of floral design — not only for myself as a florist, but also for what I eventually bring back and share with our students at BAFA.

And now looking at this piece again almost a year later, I still love it 🥹🌸

One of my favorite things about flowers is that there is always another technique to discover, another composition to try, and another way of seeing things 💫

🌷 If you’ve been wanting to explore floral design too, comment DESIGN or send us a message to learn more about our upcoming BAFA classes 🌸

Day 2 of our student’s 1-on-1 floral class 🇵🇭🇺🇸🌸

One of my favorite things about teaching privately is seeing how much can change in just a couple of days.

By Day 2, we’re no longer just talking about where each flower should go: we’re refining proportions, movement, color, wrapping, and all the little decisions that make an arrangement feel more intentional 💗

For this session, she created her own Korean-style hand-tied bouquet, from the spiral technique all the way to the final Korean-style wrapping and foam-free vase arrangement 💐✨

And although we teach a structured curriculum, 1-on-1 classes give us the space to slow down when needed, master different techniques, answer all the random business questions in between, and adjust the lesson based on where each student wants to grow.

Because for us, the goal is not for students to simply leave with a beautiful bouquet.

It’s for them to leave understanding why they created it that way and with more confidence to create again on their own 🌷

Thank you for traveling all the way from the USA and trusting BAFA to be part of your floral journey. It was such a pleasure creating and learning with you for two days! 🥰💗
