Authors Kim Farmer and Steve Hawke were joined by Glen Quartermain in a discussion with Ernie Dingo in Subiaco, the epicentre of WA football for the launch of their new book, 'Follow the Dream: The Polly Farmer Story'.

⭐️ Player. Revolutionary. Legend.

Before Gary ‘God’ Ablett, Tony ‘Plugger’ Lockett and Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin, there was Graham ‘Polly’ Farmer. A footballing legend who revolutionised the game.

This captivating biography recounts his life, from his humble beginnings in North Fremantle; across the 356 football games he played over 19 seasons, more than anyone else in football history at the time; and his enduring legacy in the Polly Farmer Foundation, created to empower and enrich the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students across Australia.

Younger readers will enjoy learning some fun, quirky facts and raw football statistics while reading about the Great Polly Farmer. Follow the Dream is the first book in the ‘Legends’ series, introducing big stories for young readers.

'Follow the Dream: The Polly Farmer Story' is available online or at your nearest bookstore now. 🏉 by @_cole.baxter

Hear firsthand from Cole Baxter (@_cole.baxter ) about his experience running a photography workshop for young Koolangkas at Margaret River HEART (@artsmargaretriver) as part of the 'Ngaluk Waangkiny' tour.

From experimenting with point-and-shoot cameras to creating photographic collages, Cole reflects on how the workshop encouraged curiosity, creativity and storytelling.

A big thank you, Cole, for sharing your skills, creativity and enthusiasm with the next generation of young photographers!

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the opening of 'Ngaluk Waangkiny' at Margaret River HEART (@artsmargaretriver) ahead of 2026 NAIDOC Week.

Elder Uncle Ben Taylor, producer Michelle White (@communityartsnetwork) and photographer Cole Baxter all travelled to Margaret River for the occasion.

A heartfelt Welcome to Country by Iszaac Webb (@undalupassoc) set the tone for a beautiful evening of connection, conversation and storytelling.

'Ngaluk Waangkiny' reminds us of the importance of listening to and learning from the knowledge held by Elders, and the stories that continue to shape us.

Thank you to the team at Arts Margaret River for hosting such a warm opening.

'Ngaluk Waangkiny' continues until 3 August at Nala Bardip Mia – Margaret River HEART.
