We expect progress to feel easier, lighter, or more comfortable. So when something is still difficult, we 𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒆 we haven’t grown.

But maybe the evidence that you’ve gotten stronger isn’t that life got lighter. Maybe it’s realizing 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒓 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒏'𝒕.

So if it still feels hard, don’t let that convince you that you haven’t grown.

Therapy doesn’t have to feel like sitting across from someone who has you figured out.

I believe some of the most meaningful work happens when you have space to 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒖𝒑 𝒆𝒙𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆.✨

Some days we may unpack something heavy.
Some days we may challenge a pattern.
Some days we may laugh.
And some days the win is simply having one place where you don’t have to hold everything together.

Life Lessons 𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔 Is Teaching Me
Lesson 05: 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔

Sometimes you don’t realize how far you’ve come because you’re too busy looking at how far you still have to go.

We’re so quick to notice what we haven’t mastered 𝒚𝒆𝒕.
The goal we 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏'𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒅.
The thing we’re 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 on.

Sometimes progress doesn’t feel like progress while you’re in it. It just feels like showing up, trying again, making small adjustments, and 𝒅𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆.

One day you’ll look back and realize, I’m not where I started. ✨

I’m learning that 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 doesn’t always look like adding more.

Sometimes it looks like 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒎.

Sometimes it looks like 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓.

Sometimes it looks like 𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇, while still giving yourself permission to grow beyond her.

And sometimes…it looks like finally 𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 that’s been quietly taking shape for a long time.

Everything I’m good at now, has a version of me behind it who had absolutely no idea what she was doing.. and this was one of those times. 🙃

I took my first mat Pilates class a few weeks ago with @velorapilatesstudios and 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒘 🫠

Through my struggle I was reminded & wanted to remind you:

You’re allowed to learn.
You’re allowed to look a little crazy. 😂
You’re allowed to need help.
You’re allowed to not be good 𝒚𝒆𝒕.

While I don’t particularly enjoy being a beginner, 𝑰 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒚𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆. 💪🏾✨

Throwback Thursday: September 2018 🥹

This was my first time being published!! Ahh.. brings back all the feels. 🤭 @ladyburroughs_ & I drove hoooooooours out to Marfa, TX to get these shots & I think it was worth it. 😌

During this time in my life I had people around me who never truly understood why I picked modeling as a hobby - said I was wasting time & money, but I never listened. 🙂‍↔️ It’s what made me happy & people should do more of that. 𝓓𝓸 𝔀𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓶𝓪𝓴𝓮𝓼 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓱𝓪𝓹𝓹𝔂 ❤︎

Sometimes moving faster doesn’t get you there any better. 🧘🏾‍♀️

This was almost a “Scarlet takes a tumble” moment 😩😂 IYKYK & knowing me, I turned into a whole life lesson - 𝔀𝓱𝓮𝓷 𝔀𝓮 𝓻𝓾𝓼𝓱, 𝔀𝓮 𝓬𝓪𝓷 𝓵𝓸𝓼𝓮 𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓫𝓪𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓮, 𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓯𝓸𝓻𝓶, 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓼𝓸𝓶𝓮𝓽𝓲𝓶𝓮𝓼 𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓷 𝓼𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽 𝓸𝓯 𝔀𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝔀𝓮'𝓻𝓮 𝓽𝓻𝔂𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓽𝓸 𝓪𝓬𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓹𝓵𝓲𝓼𝓱.

Had THE BEST experience at @cocoandsheadallas w/ my 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒂𝒆 @ladyburroughs_ 💕

From start to finish, an absolute pleasure. I enjoyed learning more about building 𝒇𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 and creating my own 𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕! The complimentary drinks and charcuterie 🤏🏾😌🙂‍↕️ - 10/10 all around. CHECK THEM OUT!!
