on December 4 we received the news that our precious baby Sweet went to be with Jesus. we walked into our first appointment at 9 weeks so giddy to see our little one on that screen and nothing could’ve prepared us to hear the words, “there is no heartbeat.”

i had been having all the pregnancy symptoms for weeks leading up to this appointment, so being told our baby only measured 6w4d and that I was experiencing a missed miscarriage just didn’t seem real.

the hopes and dreams of welcoming our baby into the world, were taken from us in an instant.

we have felt the overwhelming peace of the Lord and know that our sweet baby is safe with our Savior. they never experienced pain or suffering and for that we are so grateful.

the amount of love and support from our family and friends has meant the world to us. Andrew and I are forever grateful for how well they’ve loved and grieved with us. we will never be able to express how much it has encouraged and comforted us.

our Savior redeems
our Savior restores
our Savior provides
our Savior brings beauty from ashes

we cling to these promises as we continue to navigate the weeks and season ahead, as my body is still struggling to let go. believing the Lords hand is in all the details and trusting in Him, when knowing what decisions to make feels impossible. we serve an amazing and holy Father.

sharing our story, because seeing and hearing countless women’s stories has helped me feel less alone. the Lord sees you, He loves you, and He is grieving alongside of you.

to our little love,

our hearts ache beyond measure. the loss of you feels too much to bear. the love we have for you is abundant and we will cherish you in our hearts for the rest of our lives. there will not be a day that goes by where we won’t miss you and wish we could hold you. we smile knowing that you are running around with all the heavenly babies that never made it earth side. it was my honor to get to carry you for the weeks that I was able and we know the Lord is carrying you now. what joy will fill our hearts, when we arrive in heaven and meet you face to face.
