Can you guess the milks?

Now it’s Cofounder’s Enna’s turn, and she’s a dairy milk gal so maybe this is going to be a hard one for her. Can she get a higher score than the other cofounder May?

She also ranks milks from 1-5

What’s a good milk paring with matcha?

Happy new lunar year 新年快乐 🧧🐍 everybody!

We have been a bit busy behind the scenes, along with lots of curveballs been thrown our way. Glad it’s the new year for a fresh start.

Decided to do a spin on our usual matcha lattes, black sesame slays. When you add it to milk, it’s like cookies and cream and waaaaayyyy better for you.

Thanks mum for letting my raid part of your qipao collection ✨

Have you tried black sesame?

It’s been a year.

The little one is 2. Time flies.

Went to Japan and caught up with family. And matcha of course.

Got a haircut but that’s already grown out. @tonebytalei does the best

Went to the Wiggles. Never would I ever thought I would be doing that. Mike luckily got himself out of that.

Did a fun little shoot for @loclaire_official

Certainly don’t feel like I’m in my mid-30s. Doesn’t feel like I’ve done much but looking back, yes?

But sadly I haven’t had time to do my elaborate cooking, but I hope to get back into it next year. by @_ennaye_

EP 1. Trying #viraltiktok matcha recipes

Is it easy to make these recipes? I’m taking a stab at it combining milk, cream, condensed milk and our Premium Mie Matcha.

Solid 10/10.

All these #girldinner I’m seeing all over social media, I’m doing #mumdinner - which is me cooking dinner ahead during 2 hour baby nap. Countdown gifted me some of their Own Meat Range, so I chose Pork Loin Chops for dinner and made Honey Garlic Pork. At $18.50 a kilo for free range pork chops, it’s a pretty good price compared to some other places I’ve seen. #ad

Packet of Free farmed pork loin chop( approx 500g), cut in pieces from bone

Marinade
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1/2 tsp white pepper
1 tbsp cooking wine
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp cornstarch
2 tsp garlic powder

Starch + flour 1/1 ratio (to coat pork before frying)

Sauce
1/2 onion sliced
4 garlic cloves sliced
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp cooking wine
1/2 lemon squeezed
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp cornstarch + 1/4 cup water

To garnish
White sesame
Spring onion

Method:
1. Prepare pork but chopping in chunks from bone. Option to tenderize.
2. Add all marinade together with pork. Leave in fridge for 15 - 30 minutes to marinade.
3. Take pork out and bring to room temperature, then a low to medium heat wok with cooking oil and fry pork until lightly golden and set aside. Turn heat down to low so it doesn’t burn. Coat fried pork in starch/flour mix then fry to until golden brown. Drain on paper towel.
4. Over low/medium heat, add onion and cook until translucent then add all sauce ingredients. Wait until sauce has thickened then add pork to coat.
5. Sprinkle sesame seeds and spring onion, then serve on hot rice or noodles.

Come and make a 30 minute dinner dish with meeee 🍤🦐

Who doesn’t love prawns? Esp garlic and chilli. Also you can use regular prawns with this and it’ll be just as good and quicker than 30 mins.

half garlic clove minced
2 tbsp chilli flakes
1 tbsp korean chilli
half onion, sliced

Prawn marinade:
300g tiger prawns, deshelled but head and tail on
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp Shaoxing cooking wine
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp light soy sauce
sprinkle white pepper

1 sprg spring onion cut into segments

1. Marinade prawns together and set aside for 10 minutes
2. Heat wok to medium heat, fry garlic, chilli and onion.
3. Add in prawns and gently stir fry. Prawns will be ready with the curl up and turn orange.
4. Add in spring onion then serve with rice.

Perks of having ma right next door, one is making those nourishing Chinese soups like this Papaya Pork and red date. It was really nice to have a lot of nourishing dishes during postpartum and I had a lot of soup, red dates and ginger.

Papaya and Red dates help with lactation and pork pairs really well with this sweeter soup. Normally we would add peanuts but didn’t soak them in time. This soup is easy to make with accessible ingredients compared to some other types of Chinese soups.

Ingredients
300g pork fillet in chunks
1 papaya cut in cubes, peeled
1 onion sliced in chunks
1 large carrot chunks
1 cup of dried red dates, washed and quartered with core removed
Knob of ginger peeled and sliced
2 litres of water (you can add more if you like)

Here’s another way I like to make my noodles - with spicy peanut sauce 🥜

I LOVE these noodles so much, just the right texture, slipperiness and portion size is perfect. And holds sauce well too. I added some leftover mince to this and it made the whole meal, but it’s optional - it goes well with any protein or veges you add to it.

- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Chiu Chow Chilli Oil @leekumkeenz
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 2 tsp Brown Sugar
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 sprigs spring onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp peanut butter (used @picspeanutbutter non salted)
- 3 tbsp boiling oil
- Noodles of your choice (x 2)

————-Method——————
1. In a bowl combine all ingredients expect oil
2. Cook noodles then drain
3. Heat oil to boiling point
3. Pour oil over ingredients then mix until combined.
4. Add noodles, mix and ready to serve!

Part 1, I’m gonna do a bunch of videos of how I love noodles and what I make with it. Building my most basic noodle bowl usually consists of meat + veg + sauce and I was lucky to be given some braised beef to make this quick lunch. You know it’s good when it’s so steamy hot your glasses fog up 😶‍🌫️

I have some braised beef recipes on my highlights or feed if you need it.

I layer in cooked noodles, braised beef then lettuce, chilli oil and soy sauce then topped with spring onion. And you’ve got a simple noodle dish!

How I layer my noodle bowl:

✨Protein such as beef, chicken, pork or prawn
✨Sauce: broth based or thick sauce
✨Veges: I like to use Chinese green veges like bok choy but also lettuce is good too
✨Toppings: spring onion, chilli oil, coriander

I could eat these every day. Sticky rice dumplings zongzi are legit the best type of sticky rice dish. There’s something addictive about these little parcels, the bamboo leaves permeate the rice 🤤. It’s a yearly thing that gets made.

Every family has their own take on this but we always add peanuts, mung beans/ black beans, pork belly and sometimes egg yolk (if we have any).

What do you like in your zongzi?

Smart botany is one of the supermarkets on go to lists as well as Tai Ping in Pakuranga. When they do specials, it gets pretttty busy. You can find some good deals here, and some of the prices are on par with the mainstream supermarkets, eg the Yoplait 1kg yoghurt is $4.99. The butchery is pretty fresh and decently priced - my mum says it’s the best so I trust that it is.

The only downside is the choke point at the entrance, everyone stops to checkout the produce. It gets frustrating as you can’t go anywhere because you’re trapped amongst trolleys. Especially if you’ve got a pram to push 😂.

They’ve done 10 % off everything before, which I’ve never seen a promotion done like that at a supermarket.

If you’re out East, this is a supermarket to check out.
