year of the artist: time and intuition 🕰️💌when people say art is life, i understand that to mean that art is meant to be lived through. and in that vein, this piece has been in the works for almost a year. it comes from being determined to really sit and ponder over my ideals, question them, critique them, discover new ones and most importantly, live out those ideals to test their durability in real life. what the people need more than anything are philosophies that actually add value to their everyday.deconstructing the colonial and imperial view of time,and relearning about indigenous ways of living like presence and intuition have been two crucial philosophies of my everyday life since. i see them as both influential to my practice, but also imperative for revolution and everyday acts of resistance.today, i share another time capsule of the revolution’s prelude from my perspective. i do this to archive the revolution before and as it occurs. there are definitely other workers doing their part too, but this, is simply mine.i know you’ll enjoy this one.yours forever and now,the lover. 💌📹: @shydevours by @_ephthat

the summer of love, 2026, paris. 💌it’s taken me three years of coming back here to realise what keeps bringing me back to this city. fête de la musique itself is incredible. swarms of the diaspora unanimously congregating to celebrate our music in the scorching heat? revolutionary. literally our generation’s summer of love (look up 1967). but beyond that, here, life simplified. it was just me, my brother and friends old and new dancing and harmonising with time. in an awe, joy and love that doesn’t have to just be tapped into abroad. it is an everyday experience. and that’s what’s really got me about this place. people want to full their lives. and that’s the work of the revolution; to make people realise that there is so much more we can be living for. that’s the work being done rn that i care about. in short: memories made. a new fire lit. ancestors (suzanne césaire, baldwin, fanon) heard. game on. 👾 stay tuned.with love from the city of love,the lover. 💌general overseer of fête de la musique (successful ☑️🤲🏾)ski.himothy.bickering caught on cctvsome light fitswhy i waited for kevwe’s film.getting wet xone of the many pieces by this artist that really spoke to me. moira, you are great.it’s not often i get captured (being the one who takes pictures), so i really like this picture of me and reuel. i could easily make this about this being another achievement. another exhibition in the bag. the fantastically cool pictures taken of me and my friends. but my mission is so much bigger than that, so much bigger than me. i care about revolution. i care about my people. i care about humanity. and what that means in this painting (my most difficult one yet), is to bring a loving and educative take on the diaspora.typically conversations about the diaspora are littered with bemoanings of what we should be doing, how disorganised and disjointed we are. and even if there is a subtlety of truth to the above, what is (to a certain demographic), very fitting is the lack of talk on how amazing we are. how we are stuff of dreams. enough about struggle olympics and “perseverance” but more on the capacity of our love, our willingness to build and maintain community. so today, many of our enslaved and oppressed predecessors, we are their wildest dreams. today, me, you and they live lives capable of immense capability and potential.so i’ll leave you with this. how did this painting make you feel? do you look at yourself with pride? if you don’t, i’m just reminding you that your ancestors definitely do.thank you @yazzyfromtheblock for this canvas and @studioex.co @at.greg @graff.paper and @exhibit69 for the opportunity to exhibit and the beautiful artists i was able to exhibit with.long live the revolution.with love of the world and the ancestors,the lover. 💌 #scrl by @_ephthat

i have no doubt i am among those who will define the coming age. 💌@lovep0litics will be amongst those defining the coming age. it’s a manifesto of love as a radical resistance for our generation and beyond. to us, love is way more than just “a doing word”. love is the beginning of questions and answers for internal revolution. this internal revolution of unwavering love for ourselves leads to us having the capacity to unwaveringly love each other. THAT is community. a willing, transformative love that recognises others because it recognises itself. and THAT is what we’re rediscovering. a love that’s always been there because it’s innate in us all as humans. we’re not the first to have spoken of such a love, we’re just continuing the thread of generations before us.this is simply humanity rediscovering their humanity again.with the love of the world and the ancestors,the lover 💌🌍📸: thank you @sage.complex by @_ephthat
