This year has been such a good yet challenging season. Every year is different with so many factors into play, but the one thing I did take from this season is never be afraid to switch it up.

Being able to adapt, and step away from the norm when the norm isn’t working definitely saved me on so many outings. Don’t be afraid to be different, fish different and go the opposite way when you see a crowd ahahahah.

Been going in all season long. Late nights to the early mornings. Incomings, outgoings, peak highs, bottom low’s. I made sure I hit all avenues of opportunity. Was it luck? Sure maybe it was. But I believe in myself and I know who I am, I know the work I put in.. so I think maybe it was just a little bit of everything. And if I’m ever anything at all, I’m just so so thankful to have caught this fish that’s it 🙏🏻

Excited to announce that @luckycraftsw and I are teaming up once again to bring you guys something special on my Whatnot show!

We’re going all out for this one! We’ll have a huge selection of exclusive JDM Lucky Craft Japan pieces, plenty of Flash Minnow colors, limited salt color runs, freshwater pieces, and even some new pieces that will be available during the show!

If you were there for at the last LC warehouse show, you already know how crazy things got! We were putting together some insane 20–30 piece bundles, and who knows… we might just have to bring those back again!

With the year coming to an end, I wanted to team up with the Lucky Craft crew one more time and make this show something worth remembering. Hopefully, we can return some of that love and bless you guys with some seriously dope pieces to add to your arsenal heading into the new year!

When @luckycraftsw asked me to make a reel for the Surface Wander 120, I immediately said yes without thinking. After hanging up I realized I’d actually never fished it lol 💀. So I asked my friend @_fearnofish_ to do a live with me on YouTube so I could ask HIM how he fishes it as he’s been absolutely putting the smack down on stripers with it up north.

Thank you Victor for always sharing your knowledge in such a clear way. But beyond just the knowledge is the credibility - this guy fishes harder than almost anyone I know and he ALWAYS puts in the work. It’s a common trait that I see in every single slayer. Yes, the highlight catches get all the attention, but rarely do we see the dedication to the craft that allowed those catches to happen. No shortcuts, no magic spot - hard work, commitment, and love for the game is what allows the magical moments to happen. Victor embodies this man…dude loves the game and fishes accordingly.

This live gave me the confidence to give the surface wander a shot on a recent trip and while the yellowfin were babies, it was so cool to throw something for the first time and get bit.

The Surface Wander is a LEGIT option, you don’t have to do much. Fish it slow, and these things have an amazing shimmy that made me understand why fish eat it.

A little luck, a little preparation, and being in the right place at the right time. 🎣

I happened to be fishing by myself, and thankfully there were some coo people around who were kind enough to take a few quick pictures for me. Good thing I had Live Photos on lolol.

Thankful and blessed to finish 1st place this time around in the @csasurfderby event! 🏆

It was an amazing turnout, with so many good people behind the scenes putting everything together and making it happen. I know this is something that will be around for many seasons to come, and I can’t wait for the next one!

A huge thank you to @californiasurfanglers.official for everything you do to bring the surf fishing community together and make events like this possible. Never stop chasing your dreams, that’s all I could say at this point in my life. With all the negativity around I just wanted to share with you guys something positive for me that’s happened so far. I never thought I’d get my fish of a life time, and I did. She taped out to 44”. This fish really meant the world to me, and actually I almost broke down cause I was having such a shitty week. None the less, I’m so thankful I was able to land her, take a few pictures, and send her back on her way to reproduce. Much love to everyone who’s supported me in my fishing journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I also have want to give thanks to @ticafishing @ticaamerica @california.surf.anglers for believing in me as well 😭🙏🏾
