4 weeks of our total love explosion cherub Arlo Zikar Nehme Pope, while the Sagittarius full moon lights up the ocean 🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍

Born into this world choosing my beloved grandpa’s birthday as his own, 3 May, my water broke the day before during the full moon in Scorpio. Magic.

Nehme means blessing in Arabic - we are so blessed to be your parents Arlo. I love you more than all the drops of water in all the oceans. by @_georginapope

Each holds space, tension, marginalised narratives and wisdom embedded in the cyclical nature of the past and the present. Curated by @hooralq

The exhibitions are accompanied by a huge program of lively events, performances and workshops happening the whole way through.

So happy to be part of this 25th edition, Rememory 🤍🖤 taken in Sydney, Australia by @_georginapope

Still holding onto the energy of the opening week of the 25th Biennale of Sydney, Rememory 🤍🌀🗣️👣 @biennalesydney

What a privilege to be part of something that brings together so many artists, voices, and stories from across the world. Deep gratitude to the artists, our incredible production team and colleagues, partner venues, and to Artistic Director @hooralq - it has been an honour and a constant source of inspiration to work with you all❣️

Rememory feels especially resonant right now (a life force for me coming back to Sydney). There are five exhibition venues, each unfolding its own narrative: stories, histories, and living memory that reveal and celebrate resilience, community, Indigenous knowledge, and the enduring presence of the past in our present.

If you’re in Sydney, take your time to explore each venue, including all the powerful video works and visit:

Designed by Brazilian modernist Oscar Niemeyer in the 1960s, the Rachid Karami International Fair in Tripoli, is a sprawling and wondrous site. I found it to be a visionary concrete poem to Lebanon’s ambitions and future, now shadowed by a sore reality…

Conceived as an international venue for world exhibitions, offering hope and prosperity to the city of Tripoli, it was never completed. Construction was interrupted by government restrictions, the outbreak of civil war, then occupation, invasion, and other political upheavals. Today the site feels like navigating a surrealist maze of absurd forms and spatial illusions: the main exhibition pavilion with its sweeping curved canopy; a grand towering arch; an open-air theatre; a pyramid-like big top; a dome for experimental theatre; a mushroom-like “Space Museum” that doubled as a heliport; and the Lebanese Pavilion, with Islamic-inspired forms and an M.C. Escher-like staircase leading to somewhere and nowhere.

Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the unfinished complex lies tired and abandoned, inhabited by pigeons, joggers and tourists. What a magical stage it could still be for exhibitions and artistic interventions. by @_georginapope

Reminiscing on nearly a decade at the @boroscollection & 3 presentations. I joined the team in 2015 with Jean-Christian, as the first English-speaking guides, and this was momentous towards my Berlin-Renaissance.

Working in such a historically charged building, with an iconic private collection of contemporary art & an even more iconic team, has left a lasting impression on me. I’m deeply grateful for the incredible people, encounters, artists & inspiration I found throughout my Boros years.

I truly believe in the power of art as a critical tool—especially when activated through engaging & thoughtful art mediation. It’s been a pleasure to guide countless visitors from all over the world, who range from being seasoned to completely new to contemporary art, through the Bunker’s storied walls.

Thank you to everyone who was part of this journey 🤍🖤
