STRANGER THAN PARADISE

On September 11th, DJs @jessie_onze and @dj_peggasus join forces, bringing together their local crews around a very special guest, Bristol based @_ghost_phone.

Stranger Than Paradise opens on the rooftop at 20:00 with one half of Ambient Club, @onarrivenow, and the founder of IDJTFAY, @nyyyyyyyyycol.

Heading down to the basement, where things will run until 05:00, expect a diverse mix of global club sounds, breaks and bass, starting with @clilouuu and @b3lla_mafia.

As the night picks up, the core artists take over with peak-time sets, including the much-anticipated jungle, juke and footwork blends of @_ghost_phone. Finally, the closing duties go to our local celebrity, @pink.wav.

Mornin all, just here to let you know that Flump Mix 002 is now live.

Putting these together is so liberating and fun, I like to see how far I can push it sonically whilst still making it recognisably me. I really think i achieved it with this one.

Recorded during that insane storm the other day, which really fed in to the vibe. The mood is dense and lush, cinematic and melancholic. The drums have turned to mush and the vocals are stretched beyond recognition. Melodies pop like bubbles and bass lines feel squishy and soft.

There is rnb in there somewhere, i promise!

You can listen via the link in my bio.

What can I say about my brother @wilfy.d !

He helped me put together the first ever Ghost Phone mix, engineered the lockdown body edits and has always been on hand for advice and guidance. We've collaborated and B2B'd a bunch of times and laughed more times than I can remember. Long story short, if it wasn't for Wilfy D Ghost Phone wouldn't be what it is.

Watching his rise to stardom is a joy to behold. Unbelievably talented and wise beyond his years, he's a proper head who has put in the work. I can't think of anyone who deserves it more.

Love you Donny!

You can catch us throwing it down this Saturday at the Love Inn. Be sure to pop along. by @_ghost_phone

Morning folks, I'm back on @swu.fm this evening from 6pm.

The suns out and I've really been enjoying house music, So I guess you know what that means.

Don't worry though, it's not gonna be an hour of plod. I'm going to be celebrating house music in all it's various forms. Deep house, US House, Detroit, Afro House and some house adjacent stuff like Jersey Club, UK Funky, Garage and much more.

I'm physically incapable of playing the same groove for an hour, so expect across the board vibes.

Be sure to lock in. by @_ghost_phone

This incredible comp courtesy of @interlinkinterlinkinterlink is out now.

Showcasing the cutting edge of the UK underground, where up and coming talent rub shoulders with bonafide legends in the game. Its a genuine honour to be involved.

'Energy' came together really naturally. An exercise in less is more, beats and bottom end for dark dancefloors.

Check the comp via the link in my bio.

Out to top don @yvestomas for pulling this together, you're a real one. by @_ghost_phone

Touching down on @swu.fm at 6pm with a 160bpm special.

I'm obsessed with spacious, rnb flavoured footwork and also partial to the batshit crazy, synchopated toms all over the place stuff too.

So I guess it's gonna be that and everything in between. Juke, Jungle, Ghettotech, Drum n Bass, you get the gist.

Let's go. by @_ghost_phone

Back on the @swu.fm airwaves from 6pm this eve with a classic rnb / slow jams special.

Not only is this the music of my youth, it's also at the very core of the Ghost Phone sound.

I played a load of this gear at the @the.plimsoll last weekend and it was hella cathartic and inspiring, so only feels right to explore that tonight.

If you can guess how many Teedra Moses tunes im gonna play, you win a prize..

Be sure to tune in. by @_ghost_phone

Plimsocial is back next Sunday.

This time we’re enlisting Ghost Phone and his signature strain of warped R&B and UK club fragments. Hazy vocal and low-end weight that drift between the intimate and the underground. Expect a Sunday-leaning selection from a catalogue that usually lives much later in the night.

Catford’s own Front Left Life add a splash of UK rhythm and percussive swing to proceedings, while our very own Bacchus gets the bones of the pub warm from the off.

Free entry. No tickets. Come drink, dance and be merry.
